Bar Los Torreznos — Restaurant in Madrid

I’m really sorry that I am giving this place such low ratings because it was actually packed with people when we landed here. BUT… I think this place serves the kind of food that will give my body an immediate shock to the liver, kidneys, stomach and every other organ. New to the city and the culture, I was unaware of what “Torreznos” were. This is the specialty of this restaurant so the one out of place is me! This is a very, and I mean, very down to earth, simple, no frills kinda location. The everyday worker, construction worker, average person comes here to get a quick meal for a few euros and that’s it. Nobody is expecting a gourmet meal. Great spot for authentic Spanish tapas and beer before a concert at WizInk Center (or any other time), we were there before the Pixies show (March 10, 2023). Get there early on days when there's a show so you can get one of the small tables (standing tables mainly) because it gets crowded closer to concert time. We had the torreznos (meaty pork rinds / chicharrones), boquerones fritos (small fried anchovies), and the oreja a la plancha (grilled pig ears) and all were excellent washed down with cold mugs of Mahou draft beer. Empecemos por lo bueno, grandes cañas y torreznos (por eso le doy 1 estrella)

Vamos con lo MALO, trato de uno de los camareros, no quiero particularizar con el bar (adjunto foto de la persona en cuestión).

Nos situamos 22.45 hrs del sabado 23/11/19, somos un grupo de 10/12 amigos pidiendo muchas rondas de cañas (cada ronda aprox 16€), así que podéis calcular que nos dejamos un buen dinero.... El bar estaba a 1/3 de ocupación al haber partido baloncesto del real madrid.

La 'única' televisión que hay en el bar, estaba echando partido Levante-Mallorca (en directo, partido de interés casi nulo y más viviendo en Madrid), un amigo le había pedido educadamente si podía poner el TRANSCENDENTAL PARTIDO DE DOBLE ESPAÑA-GRAN BRETAÑA de SEMIFINALES COPA DAVIS (equivalente a un mundial de clubs) pues le dice que no....sin dar explicaciones. Otro detalle, va a pagar una ronda usando un meda de 50 céntimos de € que pone Lituva al dorso, NO SE LA ADMITE PORQUE DICE QUE ES FALSA ¿¿? En Lituania la moneda oficial es el Euro, como en España, debe ser que este señor no conoce que cualquier moneda Euro del país que sea, es admitida en España...cuando llevas un negocio con constantes cobros en metálico se debería saber....

Bueno, pues yo llegué tarde y sin saber nada y como gran aficionado al tenis y español que me siento, al pedir, también le solicité si podía poner el tenis (nadie estaba prestando atención al partido 'trascendental' que había en el la tele SPORTING-TENERIFE EN DIFERIDO!! FLIPA!!), pues sus palabras textuales suyas: "EL TENIS NO INTERESA!!" de forma seca y contundente...pues nada a fastidarse yo y todos. No salgo de mi asombro y voy a comentarlo con mis amigos...supongo que quería decir QUE NO LE INTERESABA A ÉL.

Al salir del bar otro cliente, me dice que también había alucinado y que no entendía a este señor, que ellos también querían ver el partido de España, como la mayoría de los presentes.

Conclusión: EMPATÍA CERO con la clientela. Han perdido unos cuantos clientes....

Supongo les dará igual ya que están en un sitio privilegiado y tienen clientes de sobra pero aquí queda mi queja.

Espero no contestéis que no entráis en gustos deportivos como a mi amigo, porque se trata de dar satisfacción al cliente como...
