I have never been in Korea but I lived in Korean town in NYC and I went so many Korean restaurants. Korean restaurants serve side dishes in particular kimchi along with the main food. I consider a Korean restaurant based on their kimchi, and if they serve bad kimchi or if they charge for kimchi that restaurant is not a good Korean restaurant. Midang’s kimchi is good but they charge 5.50€. That’s ridiculous. It is like they charge for bread in a Italian restaurant or they charge for olive oil in a Spanish restaurant. Also, I ordered bibimbab because it is my first time in this restaurant and bibimbab is a default food for me. If it is good I will go back there again and try their bbq. Unfortunately bibimbab was okay. It had a little meat. Overall, I paid almost 60€ for 3 main food and 3 side dishes. Also, the place is half basement and small. We decided to go for the KBBQ, but the rice and kimchi was not included. We each bought rice, since it was only 2€, but kimchi was 5.5€, which we thought was a little much.
The place was very noisy since it's so compact and the other guests were loud.

The food itself was good and filling, we ran out of lettuce, but we had enough food to be satisfied.
All in all an...
Read moreI had serious doubts about this rating because of the service, which is not up to the level of the authenticity and the quality of the food. We visited in the company of a Korean friend, hence we knew what and how to order. The culture fosters sharing therefore we ordered several dishes, and it was very difficult to choose a favorite because they were all delicious. The place is very small, six tables maximum, so be sure to book in advance as it gets crowded very quickly. While the owner was very on top of his business, the waiter was clearly unexperienced. We had to ask for basics (napkins and chop-sticks) several times. The food is totally 5 stars deserving, but the service is...
