TABERNA EL ALAMBIQUE — Restaurant in Madrid

Lovely place with very friendly owners and delicious Spanish food (and that's coming from someone who has spent a significant amount of time in Spain). As a mixed-age group some of whom didn't speak Spanish, the owners were very patient and welcoming. It was so good we went back the next night, with the group agreeing the vibe and the food were great. Choriqueso was our favourite dish but they were all great.

Tuvimos una excelente experiencia en el restaurante. Pedimos berenjena con salmorejo, musaka y huevos revueltos con morcilla. Mi marido, que siempre dice que no le gusta la berenjena, ¡se lo comió todo y quería más!

Todos los platos estaban deliciosos y bien servidos, con precios justos. El servicio fue muy bueno, simpático y atento. El ambiente recuerda a una típica taberna española, lo que le da un toque especial al lugar. Como el espacio no es muy grande, puede que haya que esperar un poco por una mesa, pero la espera valió la pena.

Lo recomiendo a quienes busquen platos auténticos y sabrosos.

We had an excellent experience at the restaurant. We ordered eggplant with salmorejo, moussaka, and scrambled eggs with blood sausage. My husband, who always says he doesn’t like eggplant, ate everything and wanted more!

All the dishes were delicious and well served, with fair prices. The service was great, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere resembles a typical Spanish tavern, which gives the place a special charm. Since the space is not very big, you might have to wait a bit for a table, but it was definitely worth it.

Cozy local place with outstanding hosts offering an amazing experience. We couldn't be happier for choosing this place for our dinner after arriving in Madrid.
