Okay so first off before any misconception from what's about to be said! We love the tacos we love the place we love the owner and we love our Viking waiter. What we don't love is the creep from the bar that hit on our 19 year old friend who is already married. So now story time we are a group of friends who came to Spain and found this taco place and fell in love so much that several of us kept on going at least once or twice a week the month we have been here. We did our last meal on Monday because we knew that our Viking waiter finished his shift for the month and wasn't going to be there before we left. So what happened is that one of our friends kept on getting looked at weird by the bar man and he kept on being a creep on her giving your eyes writing hearts on her receipt and just all around bad vibes. So we told our Viking waiter who then told his boss and she had a talk with the bar man who later came at the Viking waiter throwing insults blaming him for making up stuff when all of us kept on telling the boss that it wasn't him(viking) and it wasn't fictional that it was all true. Sadly here in Spain one cannot toss a worker out so easily even if you suspect foul play you have to catch them in the act. So anyway this is just a review to show that you need to be careful around the bar man without glasses because he's a loose cannon perv who takes advantage of his position knowing that there's nothing that the boss can do to remove him from the staff. Although this is a sad story we absolutely recommend going there and having their food because it is the best hands down in Madrid. Thank you so much for an incredible month and great chit chats to those who were kind and karma will get you to those...

Giving a 3 due to the initial service. Came as a group of 4, the man said 4? We said yes to which he then proceeded to say that it’ll be an hour wait. As he said they’re booked up and the seats are reserved. We then went outside to discuss what to do. We came back in saying we’re happy to wait an hour. He was very shocked and said you sure? And hour? To which we said it’s fine we’re happy to wait. Literally a few moments later he said alright come on in. It definitely felt like he did not want to serve us initially holding we’ll go some place else maybe as we‘re of Asian descent not sure, but it was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Overall the food was good but due to the initial interaction we definitely did not feel welcomed. However, there was a Spanish older man who did check on us to see how it all was and...

Texan here who’s living abroad. I can easily say that Mexican food is the cuisine I miss the most from home. I’ve tried hundreds of places that all have fallen flat. Until Taqueria El Chaparrito. Talk about a treat. Authentic Mexican flavors, full of spice and cooked to perfection. The price is fantastic and allows you to try essentially there entire menu for a very reasonable price. The wait staff is lightening fast. You order in the front and I am not kidding you when I say by the time you walk back to your seat and sit down they are laying a plate full of tacos in front of you. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. I wish I had five more nights in Madrid just to come back to...

Delicious and tasty food at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed the tacos, which were wide in variety and at the low cost of €1 each. They were flavorful & had the perfect amount of topping in each taco. We really enjoyed them with the two types of salsa they gave us. The pozole was delicious as well, very homey and warm (perfect for cold weather). There wasn’t much meat, but the flavor was definitely there. The only thing we didn’t particularly enjoy was the horchata-would not recommend if you’re used to authentic Mexican horchata. Make sure to make a reservation during busy hours! We arrived during lunch time without a reservation and they were luckily able to squeeze us in at the bar.

We went there on a Saturday for lunch without reservation and it was quite full so we could only sit at the bar but once a table was free they were so nice to let us move there. The price’s are great if you’re on a budget or don’t want to spend much and the quality is great. We ordered 5 different times of food. I will pin a photo of our receipt (there is written everything we ordered) as I can’t remember it all but it was delicious and we were surprised by the good quality of food and service. Would 100% recommend to everyone, maybe with a reservation as to avoid having to wait. Will definitely be coming back.
