Honestly, I found Ramen Kagura to be pretty average. I do come from a city with a ton of good Ramen places. I did expect a place with such a high rating, and nearly 9000 reviews to be a bit better. We walked in around 9 PM and they were easily able to seat us. We ordered two miso ramen as well as the Karaage. The Karaage was tasty as most fried chicken is, but I’ve definitely had better. I would still recommend it. I think the miso broth was lacklustre and missing some flavor. Maybe my boyfriend and I should have ordered two different broths to try as some of the other ones may be more special. The noodle texture was pretty good. I found the Chashu to be very soft and too mushy. My boyfriend got the biggest size while I got the medium one. The large one is actually double the size of the medium, and the difference is just in the way of the ramen noodles. You do not get any extra toppings, meat, etc. However, the price difference is pretty small so if you’re really hungry, maybe the large is for you. Overall, it’s probably amongst the top ramen you can get in Madrid. But comparing it to other ramens, that I’ve had the fortune to try in the past, it doesn’t meet the standard. Still it’s a fast and cheap meal and definitely satisfies the stomach.

This place would deserve the 5 stars for the tasty ramen but needs a brush up on customer service. The restaurant rules are understandable, of course, although they can get slightly strict. With a reservation for 7, we were sat in the basement, which isn't cozy or cute in any way. In any case, the worst part was that we didn't have access to the waiter and had to walk upstairs if we needed anything. We had to ask for each one of the condiments advertised in their menu and their "how-to", and the pepper shaker came half open, which opened while I was using it, leaving part of my ramen a waste. I had to walk upstairs to find someone, to ask them, at least, for a new spoon. Not after they saw my face they asked if the ramen was still edible. Would recommend to management to really show what eating ramen should look like for their waiters.

Serious letdown. Tried to go here for lunch the other day, but just missed it. Asked if it was possible to have lunch just before closing time and was then asked "for how many", replied just one and was then told it wasn't possible. What was in the air was the had there been more people they might have extended service. Anyway, I tried to go again because reviews had this as the highest rated ramen place in Madrid. After waiting for 10m, which isn't unusual at ramen bars, I was seated by the counter by the wall but there were plenty of spots so I could have been seated much earlier if servers had noted or asked people in line. Inside, it took more than 10m to have my order taken. Now the food. The bowl of shio tonkotsu looked fine but immediately something stood out, a lemon wedge inside the broth - a first for me. The two thickish pieces of pork looked nicely charred but had lots of fat on it, way too much. The soft boiled egg was on the overcooked side and tasted just like a fully boiled egg. There were lots of noodles, I didn't realize that 400g took up that much space, but that's not a complaint. However, the noodles are on the thicker side and taste a little dry but okay. The broth was fine and only the broth around the lemon wedge tasted slightly acidic. Maybe someone likes adding the lemon juice, but not me. After not finishing half the bowl, I wanted to pay by the counter where two staff members were talking for more than a minute just ignoring me instead of allowing me to pay. In conclusion, inefficient seating, long service wait, way too much fat on the pork belly and thick and dry noodles made the experience very poor. Maybe I was spoiled by having had ICHIRAN ramen in Hong Kong last week, but this was very very disappointing.

We were shocked to find this place to be as bad as it was. I didn’t have super high expectations or anything either. Ordered: - the avocado roll 2/10- which is pretty hard to mess up but yet they did. 90% rice 10% avocado which was brown and spotted. Wasabi seemed like it was regurgitated and watery - the gyozas 3/10 - I’m better off microwaving frozen gyozas cause they would just about come out the same and would be 1/5th the price - edemame - 9/10 - good! Lol but then again it’s edemame how can you really mess that up Spicy Ramen -4/10 - I love ramen, eat it often and always finish it to the bottom broth and all. But I did not even get halfway through this. The top had a thick layer of oil and was over all just not enjoyable. Overall very disappointed and shocked at how bad the food was. Confused how 7000+ people gave this place 4.6 stars overall

I was feeling like something soupy after Pride/Orgullo and this place has all these hype I feel like I should try - particularly when its just next door where I was staying. I prefer chicken broth over tonkotsu (pork broth) anyway which is specialized in this location than the other branches altho I was slightly disappointed the broth, the essence of the ramen, was kinda weak. The piece of chicken was a tender piece of grilled chicken but not the chicken chashu. While the egg hasnt gone bad, its certainly past its prime. Cant pin point wat went wrong with the bamboo shoot as well, perhaps they didnt spend long enough time soaking it so the taste of the shoot was still there. Sadly I was left quite underwhelmed. Staff was very nice tho!

Food was mid. I had the Shio Tonkotsu. I love tokotsu ramen and usually have it every time I go to a ramen shop so I know my tokotsu. This ramen didn’t hit the spot. It had flavor but it wasn’t as salty or flavorful as it’s usually served in other spots. The egg was jammy and super salty. The gyoza on the other hand was really good. 200g was the perfect amount. I read from other reviews that 400g was a lot and they were correct. If you get the meal, it comes with ramen, gyoza, a drink and a dessert. I passed on the dessert so I can’t say much about it. The service was great and the restaurant was lively. It’s a great place to stop by for lunch since it can get a bit crowded later in the day.
