Sa Pedra — Restaurant in Manacor

August 2023, we went for lunch and faced an appalling experience. Despite the restaurant being only at 50% capacity, we endured a wait of 1 hour 30 minutes without any prior notice of delays. The communication was extremely poor from staff to customers, the communication and chatting between staff was excessive! A  totally inefficient operation being run with an absence of leadership and intervention. To worsen matters, my wife's starters arrived, and I received mine 15 minutes after she had finished hers. The same pattern repeated with our main courses, both were dry and suboptimal. This was by far the worst service I've encountered globally, and when I expressed my concerns to the team or the manager, there was a complete lack of care or understanding, just a sense of entitlement —seemingly just a pursuit of profit. It's evident that this place is more about being seen and photographed than about delivering quality, fresh food or attentive service. Shockingly, I've noticed similar feedback from other reviews. Without its location, this restaurant would be nothing; it solely relies on that. Our last dinner in Porto Cristo wasn’t as good as in other restaurants and days. Unfortunately at the end we were not happy because of service. With my wife we felt excluded, cause after finishing main courses nobody from service offered us a dessert or other drinks where neighboring tables were offered these options just right after. (We’ve been waiting 15 min). Then for the check - 10min waiting time - where everybody else did get these immediately after asking. No excuses here - that time restaurant wasn’t crowded as in the beginning and we had examples of a better service to the tables closest to us. Our fish and steak was cooked perfectly. Service not so good! I chose a gin off the drinks menu, it was priced at €5, I pointed to my choice as I ordered then to be told sorry that is wrong and to give him back the menu! I was then given a different menu with a higher price of €17.50 !! I declined.I could see they were smiling and chatting amongst themselves about it too. Left me feeling uncomfortable.
