We've been twice to this place with my boyfriend and both experiences are different. At first I would have given 4 stars, the waiter who looked afer us was very attentive and professional, food was quite good. Second time, that waiter wasn't there and all the rest of them that were running around together weren't as good as that one waiter alone. We ordered a bottle of red one, when it came out, it was warm. There is nothing worse than drinking red wine on a warm night that is at least 28 C. Even the best quality wine can taste like horse piss if it served warm. We got some ice in a bucket, (we asked for it) so we managed to cool it down. We ordered 2 rounds of tapas each. The first came promptly but we had to wait for the second round for 30(!!!) minutes. There were two (seemingly single) women sitting at the next table, they got everything very quickly and got attended to like 5 times in 30 minutes. The waiters were flirting and laughing with them whilst we were waiting for our freaking tiny tapas the whole time. Maybe if I'd been single with a group of girls, I would have gotten similar attention. It's a shame. Management, this is something to look into! Also in a wine producing country, you cannot afford to serve wine on a wrong temperature. We...
Read moreWithout a doubt the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in 15 years. I’m not a man to write reviews ordinarily, but something had to be said.
To start, the service was woeful. Sitting in the restaurant with my family we felt unwelcome and completely disrespected throughout. The waitress with face piercings was completely inattentive and amplified what was already a terrible dining experience. She rolled her eyes and lacked any semblance of manners. To top it off, she forgot our order twice and did not listen when we attempted to clarify. In the end, my young autistic nephew’s pizza came out 20 minutes after the rest of the food. Another waiter was quite clearly under the influence of drugs.
The food. A tragic, sad excuse for food. Everything was awful, frozen and tasteless.
Drinks. I haven’t had a worse aperol spritz in my 58 years, no taste of aperol, only taste was the cheap and sour cava.
Overall, an entirely miserable experience with no redeeming qualities. I wish there was an option to leave a 0-star rating, but regrettably, there is not. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL...
Read moreService was quick and friendly, creating a welcoming, unpretentious local atmosphere. The food was delicious, and our large group ordered a variety of standout dishes. The fried green peppers are a must-try, while the grilled kingklip was well-prepared, though the side salad was unremarkable. The assorted fried fish was hit or miss - fried anchovies were great, but the rest was just okay. The grilled Iberian chorizo was packed with flavor, and the spicy garlic sauce fried potatoes were another highlight. You can choose from three portion sizes, making it easy to sample a variety of dishes with tapa-sized servings.
Other standout dishes included the grilled prawns, Iberian grill mix, and grilled tuna, all cooked to perfection. We mostly ordered half portions, which was more than enough to share. Pairing our meal with a bottle of Torres Viña Sol Organico was a great choice - it complemented the seafood beautifully. Their house red and rosé wines were also great.
Overall, a fantastic experience with delicious food and a laid-back,...
