Difficult to find is this Restaurant. The reason is that it is located in a pedestrian area. We have been the only guests when we have arrived at 7:30 p.m. on January, 4th. Inside the Restaurant it is more looking like a Bar. When presenting the menu I have ordered a bottle of White Wine. What a pity that I got informed that the White Wine was not cold. So I needed to change the wine. Then I have asked for fresh = pescado del dia. Only 2 different fishes were offered: Lubina = but we got told that the fish is deep frozen! The other fish what was offered was CALAMARES at a price of 22 € , what we have rejected for that much too high price. Then we got served a plate of Aubergine stripes. After 5 minutes it was taken away because it should be served for other guests. Later we got a smaller portion from the House... The bread from the House was very dry. The Olives were served without a stick or fork. The main course what we have ordered was Burrata on slices of tomatoes. What a pity that the Burrata was not creamy inside like it should be. The other main was CALAMARES FRITOS. The taste was like the CALAMARES got a treatment before similar like with Lemon juice. I don't know about the reason. A very very little portion of Mayonnaisa was added.
What is the Plus of this Restaurant? It is located at the seaside! It has plenty of wine offers. The female owner (??) is always sitting outside in front of the Restaurant. After a while I got informed that I should were a mask because of my coughing! Before arrival I was tested Corona negative! The bill was also wrong. After my complaint I got informed that I got a discount of 6 €. The music is playing loud in the background!
The rest should be improved!
My subjective individual rating: SERVICE: 2-3 STARS AMBIANCE: 3 STARS PRICE AND VALUE FOR MONEY: 2-3 STARS QUALITY AND PREPARATION OF...
Read moreI visited Tabernita del Mar and found the location along the beachfront pleasant and the staff welcoming. The atmosphere was inviting, but the portion sizes were noticeably small and the pricing felt disproportionate to what was served. Based on this experience, a return visit is difficult to justify.
One improvement worth considering is the sound system. The speakers have clearly seen better days, and the music is barely audible. If music is part of the intended ambiance, an upgrade would enhance the overall experience. I will leave your pricing approach and portion strategy aside on this occasion.
If you want better value for your money, the neighboring restaurant, Manuka, is a stronger option. We went there afterward and left...
