la Red Restaurant — Restaurant in Marbella

We’re here all the time here in this restaurant and it’s the first time that it happened to us… never expected that they will served us cold food while I told him that we have our starter first and principal for later and all of a sudden, food is piling our table with the mains. Problem, he repeated our starters and main and in the end, it came all together. 2nd, our main was cold and it’s not even served hot and we all know that it was there in the kitchen hanging. We’re disappointed as it’s not our first as we’re regulars. My daughters kids menu is over cooked and not even taste fish either. Thanks btw to Juan Manuel for his patience even it’s not his fault as he’s the one serving us apart from the others. They also never mentioned when we came that the kitchen closes at 5. Also they said they would remove some food from the bill but I never said or asked about that, but in the end they never ended up removing anything from the bill, but I have no problem with that. My daughter didn’t eat her food due to her having a reaction to the food so in the end I’m having to pay for everything plus her drink apart and not received her dessert which was included with the kids menu. So they changed it in the end as I asked… and waiting for my change that I really need to ask for it…?? I don’t get it. Sorry but not today. Playing with guests or clients wasn’t not nice I guess....

La Red Restaurant was such a lovely surprise and one of our favourite dining experiences in Marbella. The food was absolutely fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. We ordered a mix of seafood dishes and everything tasted amazing. You can really tell they use high quality ingredients and care about what they serve.

The staff were kind, friendly and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The service felt natural and smooth from start to finish, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

The atmosphere was relaxed yet lively, with a beautiful beachfront setting that makes you feel like you’re on holiday even if you’re not. The view, the breeze and the sound of the waves made it the perfect spot for lunch or dinner.

Never Again!

I'm sorry, maybe it was an off-night but the whole experience for us was not something any of us wish to repeat.

It was a quiet night at around 8pm, not many guests there (nothing wrong with that, it is what it is). However, the service was slow and indifferent with the waiting staff more interested in talking to people they knew than paying any attention to us.

We had to ask several times to get attention and to place a food and drinks order. The wine we tested we sent back as it was simply undrinkable and let's just say the food that was literally dumped on our table was "disappointing". I'm being generous with that comment.

We were not rowdy and did not make a fuss but I have to say the waiter we paid at the end of the 'experience' finally cracked a smile when we paid the bill to leave. Don't worry, whoever you were, you will not...
