we have been visiting Tahini every Holiday, where our experience was wonderful and left a good impression.
Since our last visit on the 2nd of July 2023 at 7:30 P.M, we have been requested to leave 30 minutes earlier, although while making the reservation online, our stay was supposed to be until 9:30 p.m., but we were very understanding due to the summer holidays where the management needs to serve as much customers as possible during the season.
During our one hour and a half time in Tahini, the manager came multiple times near the table, kept checking his watch for the time in order for us to leave by 9:00 P.M. Although we respected the need of the table, we finished our dinner by 8:30 p.m. and wanted to enjoy some dessert and coffee with the 30 minutes left. Although due to taking our orders by 8:42 p.m. by the manager, we expected some compensation to stay 12 more minutes to enjoy our dessert and coffee. The manager looked at his watch for the fourth time while taking our orders, to assure we leave at 9:00 p.m., sent a waiter to us while we were having our dessert to give us the check in order for us to leave, although we didn't finish yet. This action made the experience unenjoyable, annoying and made us rethink of not coming back due to bad hospitality.
At start, we were understanding over the need of the table; in order to serve other clients but giving us the impression for multiple times to leave the restaurant was not acceptable and even left a bad experience during...
Read moreHaving heard quite a bit about Tahini Marbella, I arrived with fairly high expectations. The reputation, setting, and promise of refined Japanese cuisine suggested a standout dining experience.
After trying several dishes from the menu, I must say that while the quality of the ingredients was undeniably good, the flavors themselves didn’t leave a lasting impression. There was nothing particularly extraordinary in terms of taste or presentation — everything was executed well, but without a defining “wow” factor. Overall, the food experience felt average: solid, but not memorable.
On a more positive note, the cocktail menu was a pleasant surprise — well thought out and skillfully prepared, adding a nice touch to the evening. The interior design is also worth mentioning; stylish and atmospheric, creating a setting that complements the overall concept of the restaurant.
In summary, Tahini Marbella delivers in terms of quality and ambiance, but falls short of being exceptional. A decent choice if you’re in the mood for sushi in a chic setting — just don’t expect to...
Read moreThe food is delicious, and the atmosphere is great - but the service is a complete mess.
It started with a small thing: I asked for a large bottle of water and got a small one instead - no big deal, it was just the aperitif. Then I had to wait five minutes just to get someone to refill the soy sauce.
Later, I asked one waiter for more water… then another… then a third - and got completely ignored. After 30 minutes of eating sushi without a sip of water, I finally told our waiter, as calmly as I could, that I didn’t want to make a scene, but I had been waiting half an hour. His response? Something like: “Ah yes, I remember.”
To top it off, our roll was brought to another table, and instead of our order, we got someone else’s martini.
Honestly, this isn’t service - it’s a bit of a circus. And it’s a shame, because the restaurant itself is actually great: the food is tasty, the vibe is nice, and it looks amazing. Fix...
