We arrived here on day one of a holiday in Cantabria as it was recommended by our home exchange hosts. We arrived at 13.30 and all the tables were empty but they did not seem to want to serve us. We were eventially given a table and both waiter and food were nice. We tried again one evening arriving around 19.45 and though we knew there was no point trying the restaurant as that would be all booked, we sat in the bar area and decided to have a drink then order raciones. One waiter was super kind and helpful and explained the kitchen opened at 20.00 so we would not eat til 20.30. That was fine and he really looked out for us but other staff when we ordered or asked questions were actually quite rude. We appreciated we were foreign, not used to the system and asking questions that perhaps seemed silly but my husband speaks some Spanish so there was really no excuse. Read moreHe estado dos veces. Un poco caro para la comida que es, creo que se aprovechan un poco de que el entorno es maravilloso la verdad. El producto no es malo pero la cocina puede mejorar. Detalles que no nos gustaron: te ponen el pan sin preguntar y te cobran 1,80 por pieza y persona, lo comas o no.. a ver si se van dando cuenta de que esta práctica irregular que se está poniendo de moda.. queda fea. Pedimos una de rabas (normales 13€), ya que había otras que eran "de producto de aquí" por 18€, y nos cobraron estas segundas, sin habérselo pedido.. feo. Y tampoco eran una delicia.. La verdad que el entorno del restaurante hace que merezca la pena ir, el sitio como restaurante no está mal.. pero la nota es baja porque creo que podría mejorar mucho, al menos, siendo más honrados con los detalles y mejorando un poco la cocina, poniéndola a la altura de los precios que cobran.
PD: Las carrilleras del Arroz no son de Ternera.. PD2: Los postres bastante buenos, aunque por 6-7 euros cada uno.. PD3: Poner 4 carabineros en la paella siendo 5.. feo.
