My experience at this restaurant was possibly the worst I’ve ever had. They have actually broken a law during my dining.
I cannot recommend this restaurant for many reasons. The first of which is the fact that they were absolutely awful in regards to an allergy. Even after stating that I had a severe egg allergy, they bought out a dish that had a mayonnaise based sauce on. Upon asking about this, they were seemingly unwilling to check weather this sauce contained egg. It felt as though they didn’t care, despite the fact that this could have caused serious harm & death. This is also in breach of Spanish law Spanish RD 126/2015 that states that allergen information must be easily accessible on request. This will be reported to the AESAN. The elderly woman serving us didn’t seem to have any care regarding this and in my opinion should not be serving food if this is how she behaves.
The next issue with this restaurant was the service time. The food took almost 3 hours to fully arrive. This is ridiculously long service time and was very disappointing.
In terms of food quality, the food was definitely not worth the wait. It was pleasant however not worth the price.
Overall, this has been one of the worst restaurants I have ever visited. Do not waste your money. Hopefully AESAN will investigate...
Read moreTruly great Family-ran restaurant with a incredible view of Fuengirola and the Mijas mountain range. Atmosphere and service are out of this world - you can really tell they care about your experience and do their utmost to make your dinner a memorable one.
While having dinner you can usually catch a horse show when they train their horses. Before inner you can also do a horse ride with a guide and go on top of a nearby mountain. Gracias Jose for something I will not forget in a long time. Horse rides were 40e per person for a hour (as of October 2023).
Food is amazing all around. Their Secreto Iberico is sublime. The Tapas and especially Croquettes are one of the best I have had in Spain.
Do not miss if you are in the area. Especially if you are staying at the nearby resort that shall remain anonymous - their restaurants are pretty poor quality and cost the same as having a incredible dinner experience at this superb family ranch. They speak great English as well! Muchos gracias for everything. This was a truly memorable...
Read moreAn absolute disaster. The food is senselessly eypensive and very poor in taste. It is very far from an "authentic" experience. The interior is like an English grandmother's house, absolutely tastelessly overpaid. Service? The dirty fork from the appetizer was placed on a napkin from the plate on the table to be used for the next meal. For a starter for €15, thy ask if you want bread and charge you €2 for 1 bun with butter! We got the meal in about 1 hour. Glasses are washed by hand on the bar and wiped with a cloth on the table. You get a bottle of ketchup with your meal. Placemats in the form of recycled paper for food from €30! Any level of serving? Forget it. We went to flamengo on Friday, the show was passable but all around a disaster. You are surrounded by enthusiastic seniors and you feel like you are in a bad joke. It is a tourist trap par excellence. Definitely avoid this mistake if you can and you will save yourself a lot of...
