I recently got lucky to visiting an amazing fisherman's restaurant next to the Aguinerguin port that exceeded all of my expectations. The restaurant has a low-key and easygoing atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The real star of the show, however, was the food. Everything was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor.
We shared plates as “tapeo” I ordered Saharian calamari, boquerones, fired octopus, papas arrugadas, and a whole grilled fish that was simply delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and served with a side of papas arrugadas and salad. Before the food we had warm bread with two mojos canarios. 😍
But what really made the experience unforgettable was the service. The waiters were excellent and went out of their way to make sure that everything was just right. They were knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a relaxed and unpretentious setting. The fresh seafood, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere make it a must-visit spot near the Aguinerguin port.
Thanks Gabriel for the service and your smile, also thanks to Gustavo and the rest of the staff that make us feel...
Read moreMy husband and I love the food in this restaurant and have visited it at least once during our Gran Canaria stays over 9 years. It is always busy. The staff are not particularly friendly, but the food makes up for that. We visited on the 21st March 2023, It was market day so it was particularly busy. We were served more or less straight away with drinks, then the wait began.
We attempted to attract the waiters attention on several occasions but were deliberately ignored, in fact the waiter / owner ridiculed me. His behaviour to many people wanting to eat there was very hitler- like!
We eventually were served after about 40 minutes, my fish was overcooked and disappointing. I did not complain.
When we left my husband wanted to use the WC, ( access outside) the lock is operated from within the restaurant when requested. On this occasion it did not work, I went back to ask again for it to be opened and the waiter / owner was so very aggressive, raising his hands as if to push me and he was very abusive. I was very upset by this behaviour. He was very rude and ignorant.and aggressive We were so upset by this behaviour we will not be returning.
I feel I have to warn...
Read moreWhenever visiting the weekly street market in Arguineguin we stop for lunch at Cofradia de Pescadores de Arguineguin restaurant. During the busy lunch hours the inside of the dining room is, like other Spanish restaurants, very loud. never the less the service personal is friendly and make sure to be seated in right order as arrived. The menu is translated into most European languages. Please be aware, this is not a very fancy seafood restaurant, everything is very basic, but clean. I ordered "Lenguado alla plancha", my wife followed the recommendation of the house and got "Filet Courvina alla plancha". Both plates arrived shortly after ordering. The Lenguado alla plancha as well as Courvina alla plancha were cooked to perfection. Just delicious. We very much enjoyed the food together with a glass of rose wine and water. Altogether we paid less than 30 Euros, which we consider very reasonably. Next week we will be back again for lunch, right after the...
