Tuesday 18th July booked dinner, we had been at this restaurant in previous years and viewed it as a special night out. We had to wait for a table so had drinks first. It wasn't particularly busy. When seated at table we were given an appetiser which was tasty. We ordered the guacamole to share and my wife for mains the prawn (shared starter) I had lamb. The starter came timely and was tasty but we then had over an hour wait for the main course and given one was just prawns in a garlic oil this was a ridiculous wait. In fact we had both about lost our appetite by then, we had asked the waiter what the delay was but no response was given. The food was tasty and we declined coffee as it was now ages since we sat down. As we awaited the bill I felt something move on my arm and I flicked it off it landed on the table my wife saw the cockroache and jumped up from the table, the waiter came over and calmly said it's ok it's a flying cockroache (jeez they can fly!!!), it displayed no further capability to lift itself off the ground. No apologies and really all in the service was cold. Needless to say will not be hurrying back again here and given 3 stars purely because the food was good. Paid bill in full - although wondered if the cockroache had previously visited...
Read moreNot a place to go with children, the atmosphere was like being in a morgue and the staff looked like they were clinically depressed. As soon as we entered one of the young children knocked a bottle of WATER from a guest's table as it was so cramped in there and the staff's reflex response was not to clean it up as per most standard restaurants but instead he wished to make it clear that the cost of the water would be added to our restaurant bill. That was all he was interested in. We wanted a fun family evening overlooking the sunset but really this restaurant was taking itself far too seriously, almost as if they were doing us a favour by allowing us to sit amongst the constipated diners. Went for a buffet instead and had a brilliant time, laughing, being loud, making a mess and not getting ripped off by pretentious numpties. This place looks ok for a romantic couple but definitely not for anyone wishes to have any kind...
Read moreWonderful interiour. Tasteful and elegant in Scandi-style. Breathtaking view overlooking the Atlantic at the top of beautiful Radisson Blu Resort. The staff are nice and very service minded. (New shiny floors adds to the total impact!) BUT: sadly enough the food doesn’t deliver to expectations: The Croquettes were bland and tasted of flour (had better at local bar in Puerto Rico) The main course; Sirloin, was a sore excuse of meat. Sinewy tasteless and should only have been served to a dog... Chimichurry sauce tasted of nothing. Red Wine sauce had so much sugar added to it it would have been better served as dessert. Same case w the tomato sallad. The Creme Catalan was ok. Strawberry Sorbet the only positive experience of the evening. Had higher expectations of a restaurant recommended by the Michelin Guide... Sadly I will not return to this restaurant. High hopes crumbled w the experience of neglect and...
