Exceptional food, elegant interior and excellent service.
Missed dining here the night before as Google Maps directed us to another location. It's tucked away in a quiet corner of this ski village.
The food was exceptional and a welcome alternative to the ubiquitous offerings found in the local establishments. An amuse bouche of cheese foam and artichoke fritter helped to set the tone for the evening ahead. For starters we opted for 68 degree eggs with a carbonara foam, ham and truffle and Thai shrimp soup with shiitaki mushroons, lime, carrot and mange tout. Both dishes were truly sublime. For mains we opted for tuna tataki with codium cream, sea vegetables and wasabi and Ibérian pork cheek with Pedro Ximenez Sauce and creamed potatoes. We shared a dessert of caramelised spiced bread with coconut ice cream.
The cooking and the service was 'on point' throughout the meal. The waitress did everything in her powers to ensure we had an enjoyable evening and explained dishes and ingredients comprehensively and even arranged a sample of the tuna dish before we ordered.
The owner greeted us upon arrival and enquired how we had enjoyed our evening before we departed. I think the smile on my face said it all. A wonderful evening and a fond memory I'm most happy to share.

Read moreA Wonderful surprising culinary experience at the height of the Sierra Nevada. The evening tasting meny was 10 out of 10. Literally. we tasted 10 different items (some list in the photo of the menu). The seabass was crispy and made to perfection. the Thai soup, was indeed Thai, but with a delicate touch of lemongrass, and a very light zest of chili and ginger. The appetizer's plate was a wonderful taste-buds ignition. Even the bread was perfect, let alone the great wine.
It is a family-owned business. the Lady is the chef and the hubbie is up front with the customers. Very gentile and welcoming as if he was hosting you at their house. The Argentinian waitress was so smooth and efficient and perfectly suited the ambience.
65 Euro for a delicious tasting menu and lovely experience. worth every eurocent... The perfect wine at 5euro per glass is a steal.

Read morewonderful small family restaurant - where the attention to detail is excellent, from the warm welcome to attentive service throughout. We enjoyed a 7 course tasting menu with our 2 daughters. We liked the way 3 starters were presented at the same time in artistic manner & of course lovely flavour. Fish & meat courses followed - both of which sublime & ending with a berry pavlova - which our girls loved. Good quality wine to accompany with correct price level. All perfect for us & even a friendly wave...
