Restaurante Sekai — Restaurant in Nerja

Very bad service - I arrived with my partner around 9:00pm and asked if they have any availability. They said yes, if we wait for a bit, and they sat us by a table. We were waiting for the menu for at least 10 mins and then when we got it and were ready to order we were informed that no sushi is available anymore (no rice). We stayed because as at this point it was getting late and we were very hungry. We ordered some noodles instead and a veggie tempura and most of it wasn't great, tempura being the worst one. When the waiter opened a fresh bottle of wine in front of our table, he turned around and topped up his friend's glass first! The food arrived after another long wait. We never got the water we asked for, were openly ignored 90% of time and my partner left hungry, because the waiter said he doesn't need more food as the tempura is enough for 2 people as an appetizer and didn't give him any chance to decide. At the end, after waiting another ~10 mins for the bill, we had to stand up and pay it at the bar, because it never arrived at our table. I understand that they were busy, but they should have said they have no more space for us instead of giving us the worst service I experienced in my life just to...

When we first arrived at the restaurant we didn’t felt welcomed at all. Not even a simple “hello”. We were also very clear about having separate bills because my family went to the restaurant with an other family. Then we ordered our drinks, my grandmother and grandfather asked for 2 beers and they got small beers in embarrassing tiny sizes. After 30 minutes we had our food brought in by the very nonchalant waiter. As I said we asked for separate bills, guess what, we just got one bill.... So that was Sekai. The service was horrible we didn’t felt welcomed at all....

Atmosphere, it really depends. I gave it 5 stars. It’s always quite inside. For my wife that’s great, for me I’m a people person. Service is quick food is good, we had a great free starter yesterday. We both completely forgot to take photos 🤦🏻‍♂️ we do like sushi and it’s not the first time we’ve been and it won’t be the last. For sushi, food was priced well. We did take our son and there wasn’t chips on the menu but they were more than happy to provide chips and I have to say they were some on the best chips I’d had...
