I don't know what the fuss is about, it has a really small beach and is overcrowded. It is near impossible to get parking space unless you arrive early in the morning (e.g. 08:00/09:00) or come around 18:00 onwards. There are many restaurants to choose but all of them are overpriced and poorish quality food. Limited toilet facilities and poorly maintained. Nerja is not renowned for it's beaches (size & quality). If you travel to Maro much nicer beach less people but poor facilities makesur you take plenty of food and drinks. Excellent location is Torrox Costa, large free car park at western end next to Iberia Hotel. Large deep beaches, loads of toilets and showers, seafront stretches for miles and loads of restaurants and bars, but be careful regarding pricing, watch out for the small print. Another fantastic location is El Morche, just along the coast from Torrox Costa west bound. I hope this helps you. Forget Burriana, your wasting valuable...
Read moreLovely beach with lots to do. One end (left as you look out to sea) has water sports like Jet ski and banana boat plus the Kayak tour. (Youngest they will take on the tour is 5 years old so we couldn't go on it) However, there is a shop on the front which will rent you a Kayak and all the life vests so you can just go out yourselves. To the right is an inflatable obstacle course in the sea and peddle boat hire. The sea is lovely, very clear. Nice to swim in, I did a bit of snorkeling. There were a few fish but not much to see. The toilets weren't the cleanest. There are plenty of showers to wash off dotted up and down the front. Plenty of places to eat, buy ice creams, drinks, beach toys, towels etc. Some lovely places to eat and Bakers bar do the best Eggs Benedict. Bit of a wait but that's because they're so busy. All in all it's a...
Read moreLovely beach in a stunning location with a back drop of dramatic mountains. The sun beds are €3 per day and much more reasonable than on other Costa del Sol beaches but I did visit in late April and out of season so can't say if this changes in high season. Free public toilets but take your own paper. Plentiful bars and eateries and local paella is cooked fresh in large pans on the beach but I would suggest taking a picnic if trying to keep spending down as nowhere to get takeaway snacks. The sand is dusty and grey. The main drawback however is the plethora of beach traders which continually walk up and down offering their goods. They walk away when you show disinterest but there are so many that you are constantly being approached. However overall a lovely place to spend a...
