Indigo Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Orihuela

We reserved a table for 8.30pm, arrived on time and ordered within 10-15 mins, when ordering the waiters were quite rude which just set us off to a bad start. By 10.20pm our food was still nowhere to be seen, we had watched 4 tables who arrived almost an hour after us receive their food and we had to get the attention of a waiter to ask how long they thought it would be, to which both waiters were quite rude in their response. We as a family had children with us that night who by the time almost 2 hours of waiting for their food were starving and tired. By the time food arrived some of the adults were actually past the point of hunger and no longer wanted to food we even ordered. There was also a bone found in one of my children’s food which could have been a choking hazard if not found earlier. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone who have children or anyone who doesn’t have 3 hours of their life to spend at...

Excellent food.

However, we like to order our starters, eat them and order mains. We appreciate that this adds delay but we like to chin wag and accept the "delay" for our enjoyment. But these guys wouldn't allow us to do that and insisted we order ALL food at the same time. The place was empty, I could maybe understand if it was busy, but it wasn't.

What was frustrating was having followed THEIR requirements (customer is not always right, obviously), our mains came out cold!

Please, stop this nonsense and let us order when WE are ready. Your food...

The best restaurant in the entire area. The food is of consistently high quality — I was here a dozen years ago and again yesterday, and the same great flavors are still here. On top of that, the service is friendly and smiling. What more could you ask for? This restaurant was the beginning of my journey with Indian cuisine.
