accused of stealing - worst restaurant in my life

There is nothing worse than being wrongly accused of stealing. It took place in this place. I do not recommend it to families with children, and perhaps also to anyone who is different in some way from a typical client. I had the impression that we were treated worse. My 2-year-old daughter was a little noisy, but she didn't cry. The situation occurred during my trip in a rental car to Morro Jable on October 24, 2023. After eating dinner, I informed the waitress that I wanted a Coke, a Pina Colada and the bill. I only got a Coke and a Pina Colada. We had been waiting for a long time and we wanted to go as quickly as possible, so I went to another male waiter and asked for the bill. He came with it but didn't wait for the cash, he quickly returned back behind the counter. I put down 55 Eur on plate. The bill was 51Eur. I think a 4EUR tip in Spain is approx. My wife noticed it was windy so we put the beer mat on top and went out. In my country there is such a thing as customer restaurant trust. Usually the waiter accompanies or quickly collects the cash as soon as customer leave. I noticed that this was the case with other clients, but this was not the case with us. Maybe because we were not german / spanish speaking customers. I spoke english not so bad.. After putting the cash we left. I was still walking on the beach, planning to take a quick walk and return to the car. My wife went to the car earlier with the stroller. I wanted to enjoy the last moment because it is cold in my country. But what do I see... two girls run to me on the beach 10 minutes later and show me that there is only a bill on the plate. I was a little nervous/confused but I tried to stay composed. I went to the bar and explained the situation. I felt a little embarrassed because other clients saw and heard the situation, the bar was closing. I pointed to the waiter who gave me the bill, but he quickly disappeared. I was accompanied by the lady who served dinner. She told me "sorry, I speak english a little bit." It was obvious that the situation had become tense. They called the boss and most likely he told them to find this 55EUR. In a moment I see that the waitress found it on the floor and tells me that it was lying there... I don't believe it, the wind wasn't that strong and there was a bill left on the plate, the money got lost... a very strange, even abnormal situation. There was also beer mat on top. I was embarrassed, I was ashamed because others heard me explaining myself in front of the place. It seems to me that they wanted to make me a victim or that someone was actually at fault, I am sure that waiters or some client stole money. I don't recommend that restaurant, I visited very nice beaches that day but the whole situation spoiled my day. During the explanation, I was with my daughter in my arms, it was terribly bad to accuse a man with a small daughter in his arms...

We waited a long time before being sat down and we only sat because a lovely old couple saw us waiting and decided to share their table with us. For ordering we waited at least an hour to get drinks and then they asked us to wait for food but never came back. Then we had to wait another hour before she noticed us. We arrived at peak time without a reservation and got a table after about 5 minutes, but were told that we had to wait because there were many orders. We accepted and ordered drinks while they took our order. After waiting for half an hour, the order was taken and after another half hour we received our fresh fish.
