My partner and I stayed in Morro Jable for almost two weeks. We were initially attracted to the restaurant as we read good reviews and the overall rating is rather high. Unfortunately, in the time we spent here we found DOCK to be the most disappointing dinner experience. When it comes to the food the Dock & Roll Potatos and Bao & Doc BBQ were tasty and the portions were generous. However, we found these to be the only pros. The grilled (skirt) steak (Entraña al grill) was advertised as being prepared on a cast iron grill at the table, so we had to try it. Sadly the meat itself, even after being grilled, left an unpleasant aftertaste in the mouth as it did not seem very fresh. The grilled beef tenderloin (a steak that you would expect to be served fully grilled to one's liking) was actually served raw, just flash seared to have a nice, browned exterior. Luckily we were given the cast iron grill for the other steak, so we could finish cooking it. This felt insulting and seemed like a way of cutting costs when it comes to kitchen staff. In the tenderloin's case, the meat had the same unpleasant aftertaste. Both steaks were accompanied by sauteed vegetables which were mostly raw, unseasoned and almost cold. The mashed potatoes were almost cold too. We also ordered some sauces (green pepper and cheese fondue) which were tasteless and (if even possible) watered down. The waiting staff was not very polite, rushing us and staring at the POS while entering the PIN when paying. Overall rating is 2.5, but rounding down since the experience was not geat.

We stayed 8 days in Morro jable. We've eat out at Dock 4 times. We have tried several starters as well as main dishes. Remarkable, we have enjoyed all of them. Especially, the bulleit Burger, quote of my girlfriend: one of the best burgers I had in my whole life. Further recommendable, the iberico steak as well as goat cheese starter. That's it concerning the food 😉 The drink menu is broad and all drinks we tried were delicious. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Also concerning my bad spanish skills 😉 The music played is somewhat a matter of taste, as majorly rock music is played (read the restaurant's name again). So conclusively, great food and drinks. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and a good music selection 😉 Overall, a must-go-to! Thanks for the amazing experience! 1 for your smile 😉

Went for an early dinner at around 17:30. It was empty but we weren’t put off due to the great reviews. We were greeted by lovely staff and situated at a table in the window with a lovely sea view. Drinks were brought to us quickly and food was not far behind. I am gluten free and all burgers can be done on a gluten free roll for an additional €2.50. The burgers had brilliant flavour and the portion sizes were just right. The music fitted the vibe of the restaurant. However the lack of people brought the atmosphere down, this may be due to the entrance not being along the pavement, you have to venture up some stairs. They seem to own a Spanish & Italian nearby along with a club and bar which covers a whole area above the shops and it all looks lovely.

This restaurant was very strange. The food was great, both me and my parents had no complaints about what we ate. However the service was terrible.

We walked through the door and we waited to be seated like at any other restaurant. We had a reservation, unfortunately we ended up getting there a few minutes late. When we got there my dad immediately went up to the staff and apologised for us being late. We then waited at the entrance for about 20 minutes before we were seated. There were free tables ready to go and the two waitresses just completely ignored us, taking orders and clearing tables. They both walked past us many times without acknowledging us and when we were finally seated, the lady just pointed at a table at the end of the restaurant telling us to sit down.

Usually in a restaurant I feel very welcome, I’m obviously not seated right away, but I am always acknowledged with a smile or something like “I’ll be with you in just a minute.” I honestly felt like we were invisible waiting there.

Another couple of groups came in and did the same thing as us. They were ignored for a few minutes and so they went up to the staff said hello only to have to wait for half an hour to be seated.

The food took a while to arrive, but not overly long.

Throughout the evening there were so many people queuing outside. Some just walked in and sat themselves, leaving people who had been there before them to have to keep waiting. There were about three sets of people while I was there, who skipped the queue and just sat down. They weren’t told to let the poeple in front sit first or anything like that. Many people left after getting fed up of waiting.

A message to anyone who wants to go here, the food is great, it’s good for a nice meal but the service is beyond terrible.

I believe they might be understaffed, I’m not trying to blame the servers that night. They weren’t rude, they were just not very warm and welcoming. They definitely need more staff. It really is a shame because of the great food. Unfortunately, I would never go...
