If you’re ever in Palamós, do not miss the chance to dine at San Grillat. We were lucky enough to stumble upon this gem and ended up eating here twice during our trip — it was just that good.
Let’s talk about the ribeye — perfectly grilled, if we wanted it more cooked, there was a stone to further cook the meat, incredibly juicy, and packed with rich, savory flavor that left us absolutely speechless. Paired with a local Spanish red wine, it was a match made in culinary heaven.
And then… the lobster. Oh man. Fresh doesn’t even begin to describe it. We’re not kidding — she literally ran down the street to grab it from a local vendor. That’s the kind of genuine, farm (or in this case, sea)-to-table experience that makes a meal unforgettable. The lobster was sweet, tender, and expertly prepared.
The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is warm and welcoming, and you can feel the love and pride that goes into everything they serve. This place isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. One we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Vull tornar a venir, visc a Palamós. Si no, no perdria el temps escrivint aquestes línies. No voldria haver faltat ningú, simplement deixar constància de quelcom que m’incomoda. Sé que aquesta persona porta poc temps aquí, ens ho va fer saber. La seva persona no ens va fer-nos sentir malament, ni molt menys! Al contrari, es va mostrar alegre i molt atenta en tot moment al que podíem necessitar. Puc parlar anglès, francès i alguna paraula de rus, però m’agrada expressar-me en el meu idioma en moments de relax. Em refereixo al personal en general, com que vam conèixer a 5 cambrers i vam haver de repetir més d’una vegada el que havíem demanat i més d’una vegada per cambrer en alguna ocasió. M’hauria agradat més sempre la mateixa persona. No hi havia organització entre ells i això que només érem 3 començals, no una gran taula. També ho vèiem en altres taules, com per exemple una llagosta a la brasa que va arribar al noi quan la resta de taula havia acabat (li van servir una peça de peix per error i va haver-se d’esperar). Read morePerhaps there is a new chef or perhaps there is new management. I hope there’s some reason... Waiting for 3/4h for a lukewarm meal isn’t what you expect for these prices. Whilst the quality of the lamb was good, the quantity was embarrassing. The chips were barely warm and were the same ‘patatas bravas’ served 1 hour earlier; that’s a fast-food ploy. Any redeeming factors? Nice surroundings and the wine helped pass the time....
