I always love exploring coffees in all the places I go. That's a coffee jurnay!
Shop looks great and organised. Staff just perfect with nice chat and helpful! Those two are my priority and this place hit them both.
On coffee side, I bought a bag of whole coffee seeds for home (unfortunately I didn't had the chance to drink at the shop) in general I don't judge coffee shops as I believe everyone should have they own touch so this is just an opinion of mine. The bag of coffee wasn't sealed instead it was just zipped (not very airtight) in my opinion this can make the coffee get stain faster. (I asked them to seal it for me as the had hair straightener for it and they did, mostly to not get open in the bag in airplane). The coffee was 2 months old in the bags wich they can always roast smaller quantities to make sure keeping then fresher (in my opinion the filter coffee seeds have to be fresher that this for more flavours)
I tried few brews at home and because of the above reasons the coffee doesn't taste as satisfied as I believe it could be.
This is my opinion and hope there is some tips to pick up.
Definitely will visit again...
Read moreI had a friend from Germany and came here for a week vacation. He is a coffee addict and I mean , to the high class coffee enthusiast. He knows a lot about coffee . And from a far while we are walking he saw the coffee shop name ARABAY and got excited. He told me he had tried coffee from another Arabay Shop and he liked it so much. So we get inside and ordered 2 double espresso capuccino. While ordering he was asking too many questions about the origin of the coffee that they are about to serve , ( i was feeling embarassed 😆) but the service crew crew were very friendly and accomodating and answered every question with smile on thier faces. And yeah, honestly , one of the best tasting coffee I had! It was the colombian one 🥰 ... i will definitely come back to try the other flavor 😉 and definitely...
Read moreI was really disappointed by both the drink and the service at Arabay. I ordered an iced matcha, and what I received was clearly not ceremonial grade or even properly prepared. It was a pre-packaged powder dumped over milk without being mixed, resulting in a strange, overly sweet flavor (but not in a good way) and a gritty, unpleasant texture.
When I politely brought this up and asked if I could switch to something else, the staff insisted this was “authentic” matcha and told me I was wrong. They were dismissive and unhelpful, which was honestly more frustrating than the drink itself.
I’ve attached a photo so others can judge for themselves. You can clearly see the dull, murky green color, which is a sign of poor-quality or mishandled matcha. If you know and appreciate real matcha, I’d suggest...
