Bottom line: The food was not good. Which is frustrating because Fervor presents itself (through it's atmosphere, menu and prices) as an upscale restaurant with quality food. It is not. They redeem themselves through attentive thoughtful service and atmosphere. All credit to the servers.
The razor clams starter were spoiled - they smelled like feet and tasted rotten. Had to send them back. Thankfully the server offered a replacement. We ordered the fried calamari rings which were much better by comparison but still chewy.
By far the worst part of the meal was the salmon tagliatelle dish. This was a salmon filet served over a bed of pasta covered in thick cream. I cannot call it "sauce" because it had the consistency of mayonnaise - I don't care how popular mayo is in Mallorca, it's not what one strives for in a pasta sauce. It's not even an "al Fredo" as there was no cheese - it was straight up thickened un-seasoned cream coating the pasta and salmon. I wouldn't be as upset if it weren't so expensive and the menu actually described the type of 'sauce' used - but it didn't. The owner/chef should be ashamed for serving this, easily the worst pasta dish...
Read moreThis place is an absolute hidden gem! It is small, intimate, and tucked away off the beaten path, so you have to look for it. Fervor is Argentinian-inspired food; thus, expect a nice union of Italian elements with LOTS of meat options. The wine list is also extensive as one would expect from Italian and Argentinian restaurants.
We ate here for my wife's bday, and decided on a three course meal. For appetizers, we had the Korean Shrimp Tacos and Croquettes.....both were very tasty. I ordered the Argentinian Ribeye and about 1/3 of my wife's Oxtail Canelloni as she was getting full from the generous portions of our appetizers and the amazing bread. The ribeye was flavorful and cooked to perfection. But the star of the meal was the oxtail canelloni: the meat was tender, the pasta was near al dente, and the sauce was creamy and amazing!
Finally, the staff are all Argentinian. Therefore, they are warm and hospitable. Antonella was our server and she was a true gem! This place serves great food in large portions at a very inexpensive price......especially...
Read moreVery surprised to see so many good ratings for this restaurant…we were more than 5 people and none of us had a decent dish (or drink).
The wine felt watered down, the water was worm and the dishes were not complete when brought to our table. I complained to the staff at the end to tell them that it’s not ok to charge 4€ for warm water and this very patronizing man told me that we asked for ice so they will charge us. He also started to argue that we arrived late but we literally waited 30 minutes outside to be seated 30 before the closing (should’ve told us that it was not possible since the start). I told him that and he just started to go on again on the ice cubes that they had to bring « 2 times » for the warm water.
The younger staff of the restaurant was very kind but very overwhelmed. Overall, really bad experience and a bit pricy for the value. It completely felt like an ‘instatrap’...
