Cantina Panzá — Restaurant in Palma

We visited Cantina Panza in Palma expecting a pleasant meal, but it turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve ever had.

We ordered arroz en llauna con gamba roja y calamar, patatas bravas, and a glass of sangria. The patatas bravas were the only decent thing we had crispy and tasty

Everything else was a disaster. The rice was completely flavourless, tasting as though it had been boiled in plain water. It looked nice on the plate but was inedible. The sangria was just as bad , basically cava mixed with syrup, with no fruit at all, nothing like a proper sangria

After tasting the rice, I politely asked for the bill. At that point, the blond female waiter came over and asked if the food was good. We answered honestly, saying “no” and explaining that the rice had no flavour. Instead of accepting feedback professionally, she became aggressive and confrontational, speaking in a sharp, nervous tone to defend the dish. I smiled politely and said, “That’s OK, could we just get the bill?” and her shocking reply was: “No, it’s not OK because I don’t like your face.”

Even when my girlfriend tried to calm the situation by saying “We understand,” the waiter continued with “I don’t think you understand” before walking away. She was openly rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. At no point did we raise our voices or act rudely, yet we were treated as if we had done something wrong simply for giving honest feedback.

We ended up paying €50 for for only bad rice plus bad drinks, and unbelievably bad service. This was not just poor hospitality, it was outright hostile behaviour towards paying customers

If you value good food, decent service, or basic respect as a diner, avoid this place...

Nos hemos sentido engañados. Comida escasa, y nada de otro mundo. Servicio caótico pese a la poca afluencia de clientes. No soy una persona partidaria de ir a comer a sitios en zonas turísticas pues siempre tengo la misma teoría (se cobra la zona y no la calidad ni el servicio). Quisimos darle una oportunidad por su buena puntuación en “Fork”. El primer contacto al entrar, las dos camareras de barra ni nos miraron de cara, después con aspecto serio y casi sin ganas nos atendieron. En ese momento al notar la tensión ya quise irme, tuvimos que esperar para que nos asignaran una mesa que además habíamos reservado. El lugar tiene su encanto, todo hay que decirlo. Cuando nos trajeron la carta vimos que nada nos llamaba la atención, además de los precios desorbitados y comprobar las cantidades escasas que se servían, ya desganados y de mal humor pedimos por no hacer el feo e irnos. Comimos un gofre de queso, sinceramente nada de otro mundo e insípido, después un arroz para dos (42€), ahí fue cuando al ver el arroz dijimos “se están riendo en la cara de la gente”, lástima no haber hecho una foto. Un arroz de sepia y gambas, literalmente había 4 trozos de sepia contados en dos de los extremos de la bandeja, y tres gambas para cada uno, el arroz era solo arroz, no llevaba nada más. De dónde se sacan 42€?. Las mesas son diminutas y justas, nos trajeron la bandeja con el arroz que ni nos sirvieron, la dejaron en una esquina de la mesa y dijeron “alerta que quema”. En fin. Tiramos casi 60 euros a la basura por un servicio pésimo. No te invitan ni a pan, ni a unas Olivas. Entiendo que el restaurante tenga un concepto Taberna, pero estáis sirviendo comida taberna a precio Estrella Michelin, adquiriendo un concepto Alta cocina sin llegar a serlo, si Alta cocina para vosotros es poner cantidades ridículas, permítame que discrepe, eso no es cocina y mucho menos Taberna. La gente hoy en día es conformista e inculta, además de no saber comer y por desgracia no reclaman y puntúan alto a locales como este. Comida para turistas. Como cocinera me considero una persona crítica y en predisposición de juzgar. Hay que tener cuidado con lo...

Eine etwas andere Tapasbar, direkt im Zentrum. Es ist klein und fein, ohne Reservierung sollte man es nicht versuchen. Es ist immer voll. Getraenke wie Waaer fuer 3,00 euro und Verdejo 4,00 Euro, fuer ein Chardonnay muss man etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen fuer 6 Euro. Die kleinen Telker sehr fein angerichtet. Das ideal wenn man zum Abend noch etwas kleines essen mag und dennoch etwas besonderes leckeres sucht. Sehr ausgefallen, wer kommmt auf die Idee Waffeln mit Kaese und Albahaca und Tomaten zu mixed. Es war sehr gut und kostet 10 Euro, Ensaladilla Explosiva sehr interesant fuer 8 Euro. Tortilla fundente de Patata auch fuer 10 Euro. Und zum Abschluss El Matrimonio Poliamor Ancho fuer 5 Euro. Wir hatten somit lecker zu Abend gegessen . Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und wir kommen sicher wieder. Was man denkt, wenn man es an den Ramblas sieht, hat sich ein Glueck nicht erfuellt. Denn es ist ein schoener Ort. Vielleicht etwas eng, aber sehr fein und zudem Lecker und keine Tourifalle, die schoen Aussehen...hier kann man auch Menschen aus Mallorca antreffen. An unserem Abend waren um uns herrum Menschen von ausserhalb, aber es ist uns von einem Mallorquiner empfohlen worden und es ist ein wirkliches gutes Restaurant wenn der kleine Hunger kommt. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen, hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt und es war mal etwas anderes. SEHR LECKER! Man kann I'm Parkham an den Ramblas parken had ist dann gleich da. Bitte Reservierung nicht vergessen, da es nur eine Bar und wenige Tischr gibt und es immer gut besucht ist. Kein wunder es schmeckt und Preise sind OK fuer die Lage, Innenstadt , Ramblas. Wir kommen wieder. Bei Reservierung wartet man nicht auf sein Tisch, man bekommt direkt sein Tisch und wir haben kurzfristig uns fuer dieses Restaurant entschieden. Ja ein wenig Glueck gehoert auch dazu. Es waren alle Tische besetzt, wir hatten kein Problem uns zu...
