July 2024 review:
Yearly visit when in Majorca- been over many years.
Sat on the courtyard. Was a cooler day which was cloudy so outside temp was 29’C so was not as hot.
Amouse bouche was ok- the brioche was soggy but the charred bread with squid was good .
The bread with meat spread, oil and EsTrenc salt was good.
Yellow gazpacho with salmon cubes was very nice.Beautiful dish.
The eel with risotto was very good. Beautifully blended with the 7year old rice . The cherry was interesting as would not have put those as a combination.
The corvina was good- very crispy skin with nice caramelised onion puree.
The guinea fowl was average, the top layer of meat felt like it had been meat pressed as smooth texture, the sauce was good- combination of beetroot and raspberry.
The desert was good as was the 4 petit four .
Service was slow. We ordered our bottle of wine and it took ages to arrive and so the bill. The food arrival was more efficient as pace set out by the kitchen.
All in all a good meal but set aside 2hours for the 5 course.
July 2023 review: Been here many times- still amazing from start to finish.
Lovely interior with a courtyard, lovely serene ambience with beautiful starched white table clothes- Simply aesthetically pleasing. Amazing attentive service.
Watermelon and amouse very nice, followed by some Bread with a meat slice with Fosh own brand oil and hibiscus salt - very interesting and local.
The courgette tortellini with prawn had a bit of strong fish smell but did not taste fishy. A nice dish due to the great blend of ingredients.
Corvina was excellent with beautifully cooked- no hint of fish smell, crisp skin and a trio of aubergine, paprika and basil purée
Pork again cooked beautifully with crispy skin and melted away layer of fat. Note pork jus accompaniment. Could just be a little warmer at the bottom of the meat slice.
Desert was colourful, beautiful put together and again amazing combination. Wonderful petit fours and cortado coffee.
Service excellent.
Cava and local rose wine was...
Read moreMichelin-starred Marc Fosh was a huge disappointment. The amuse bouches were ok, and the beetroot gazpacho had decent flavor, but it was all downhill from there. The remaining dishes were quite bland and the accompanying sauce either flavorless or overly salty. In fact the only “flavor” that was prevalent throughout the meal was salt. The sauce ingredients described in the menu were indiscernible. The prickly pear emulsion served with the foie gras had no flavor and didn't provide the needed balance. The wild mushroom-chestnut consommé served with the very bland smoked rice only tasted like salt. The accompanying lobster had a nice grilled flavor, but was very rubbery. The parsley-liquorice chlorophyll sauce served with the sea bass tasted like nothing. It made for a very bland base for a very bland piece of fish. If it hadn't been for a small dab of persimmon chutney on the side, the fish would have been unpalatable. The fresh pea & bergamot puree served with the truffled guinea fowl had just barely discernible pea flavor, and the truffled fowl had no truffle flavor at all. The roasted hay jus served alongside just tasted like salt. Honestly, if it wasn't for the overpowering saltiness of some of the sauces I would have wondered if I had gotten COVID and lost my sense of taste. Everything certainly looked beautiful and the presentation and service were both great, but the flavors were tremendously...
Read moreI'll start from the end - my experience at this restaurant was very, very disappointing. My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and chose this restaurant because it looked stunning to us and I read good comments about this restaurant. In fact, we had an experience that really doesn't fit a Michelin restaurant (from experience) - the meal took 4 and a half (!!!) hours, meaning we left at 12:30 at night, even a little later. Each dish was served a really long time after the previous dish and the service was, in my opinion, quite slow. Another and most important thing - we warned in advance that we were lactose sensitive and the last dessert had lactose (!!!). The manager ran to us and apologized and asked if we were taking any lactose pills and said we didn't have any... Of course they thought about what to do and it took them a while until the bill arrived and finally we saw that they hadn't charged us for the 2 desserts in the meal. I personally think that for such a mistake by a restaurant of such a high standard, they shouldn't charge me for the entire meal. But again, that's just my opinion. In addition, they told us they would call us the next day to see if we were feeling well and to ask how we were doing - and of course they didn't call. It's disappointing that a restaurant of this level doesn't pay attention to such important points and even disrespects customers. I won't...
