La Taberna del Quijote — Restaurant in Palma

After an unexpected accident on our way back from the beach, we decided to stop at La Taberna del Quijote for a few cheeky drinks and a bite to eat. Little did we know we were in for a treat! I've always wanted to try fideuà, and this dish did not disappoint. Packed full of incredible flavors, I'm actually licking my lips just thinking about it! The quality of the meat was superb, and the dish delivered on every level... My daughter had the Margherita pizza, which she absolutely loved, and my wife opted for the Bolognese pizza! a unique twist I had never seen before, but it certainly looked and tasted delicious... To top it all off, we were served fresh, hand-cooked chips not the frozen kind! which added a fantastic homemade touch to the meal. Amazing authentic place, when we came here to eat on a Friday evening, there was even live music and the atmosphere was really nice. We had gambas al ajillo, chipirones and croquetas caseras as entrees - all really good. Then we had pizzas - these were unfortunately not good, they seemed made from a frozen pizzas you can buy in a supermarket. After paying, we noticed that two colas weren't included and we told the waitress as we wanted to pay them separately. Because we noticed, she just thanked us and said we didn't need to pay them. Really nice gesture, although we were of course ready to pay them :). Two hours after leaving, I realised I forgot my bag in the restaurant, when I came there again, the waitress had it stored in the staff room for me and nothing got lost🫶🏼 Really grateful for this. Very nice food. I have tried their paella and the portions were big (it is for two people but you could have eaten even in three). Typical is also the Pamboli, which can be a very good option also if you want to have something to share with others.

The owner and the personell are very kind and gentle. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the place is clean. It seems to be less touristic than other restaurants near the beach and for me this is a positive element especially if you want to try some...
