Saw this place on google and decided to gice it a try. We ordered the shrimp, baby squid and the entrecote.

The shrimp was slightly undercooked, as for the babysquid it was basically tasteless. I ordered my steak medium rare and got it rare. The waitress was lovely and gave us free shots for the mistakes and the food. When we asked if anything could be taken off the bill because of the tasteless food she went to speak to the owner/manager, and he was really rude and unproffessional. We were fetched from outside to this, I believe self proclaimed, “the best tapas in el Arenal” place by the waitress. First of all they don’t have a drink menu so you’ll have no clue about the prices until you see the bill. The sangria was okay-ish, not even a tiny piece of a fruit in it. The mussels were great, calamari were okay, nothing special but the charcuterie board was a big disappointment. As you can see on the picture it was just a plate of some chorizo and not even a tiny bit of ham/Jamon, and it costed 20 euros. Comarea demuestra que no se necesita una carta extensa para ofrecer una experiencia gastronómica memorable. Su propuesta es clara: producto de calidad, técnicas bien aplicadas y una atención al detalle que se agradece.

La selección fue breve, pero suficiente para valorar el nivel de cocina: • Pulpo con chorizo: una combinación que podría parecer arriesgada, pero que aquí encuentra el equilibrio perfecto. El pulpo, en su punto, contrasta con la intensidad del chorizo sin perder protagonismo. SUPER RECOMENDADO • Navajas: tratadas con respeto. Frescura impecable y cocinadas con precisión, dejando que el producto hable por sí solo. • Chipirones: tiernos, con buena textura y un sellado que aporta profundidad sin enmascarar el sabor natural. • Zamburiñas: jugosas, bien ejecutadas, sin excesos de grasa ni salsas innecesarias. El servicio fue atento, profesional y bien sincronizado, sin resultar intrusivo. El ritmo entre platos fue fluido, y la experiencia en sala se sintió cuidada pero relajada.

En resumen, Comarea ofrece una cocina honesta, bien pensada, donde el producto es el protagonista. Una experiencia sobria pero satisfactoria, ideal para quienes valoran la calidad por encima del artificio.

Pero más allá de la cocina —que cumple y supera—, lo que realmente convirtió esta visita en una experiencia de 10 fue la atención del propietario (Manuel). Cercano, amable y visiblemente apasionado por su proyecto, se tomó el tiempo no solo de conversar con nosotros, sino incluso de dibujarnos un mapa con recomendaciones personalizadas para los días que íbamos a pasar en la isla.
