I have been here three times during my trip so far and it never disappoints.
The food here far exceeds my expectations. They pull concepts from other culinary cultures and present their twist on the tapas. They excel at combining diverse flavour and texture profiles while maintaining harmony. My top three favourites are the wagyu carpaccio, the tuna tataki and the beef tartar. Ingredient choices are well thought out, that they truly convinced me that all the ingredients are meant to be on the same plate to strike the perfect balance. The cocktails are also impressive, with diverse yet harmonious flavour and texture profiles. I especially like the ones with infusions, which add another layer of complexity to the drink.
Staff members are friendly and laid back. Never felt pressured. They also serve dishes in a well-paced manner.

Read moreMy boyfriend and I visited Origen two nights in a row and it was wonderful. The restaurant experience is very unique and the food and drinks are amazing. It was loud in there but it was possible to talk. There were a few minor moments where the service was a bit questionable, such as being forgotten and having to request help multiple times.
I tried the vegetable gyozas and the burrata. My boyfriend tried the shredded beef cheek bao, the entrecot, the angus rump steak ”picaña” and the salmon tartar. The meat was perfect. He also ordered the burrata during the second because of how good it was. We also tried the bravas which were huge and incredibly spicy. We also tried the chocolate volcano and it was wonderful. Their p-star martini is the tastiest one I’ve tried so far.

The tapas to share were way below average .. the gyoza were cold , the chicken skewer dry, overcooked, and even darkened ( burnt) .. the grilled fish was the same overcooked and burnt ( charcoal taste) .. and the angus beef was simply mediocre ( cooking and taste ) .. the wine by the glass selection is limited (no good quality wine) . Very disturbed how the place got 4.9 rating !!! I believe it is totally biased and unrealistic .. I am very generous with a 1.5 rating !!
