Restaurante L'A Trattoria Pizzeria (by L'Arcada) — Restaurant in Palma

Absolutely awful experience. Staff is behaving as if they were forced to do their job, no smile, no basic English, and they don't care about guests to make sure they got everything they need - i had to ask again for menu because she led us to our table and left us without it for another 15min. But the worst thing is they cheat tourists with snack which they offer supposedly for free but you get billed for it. Please be aware PANE, ALL OLI DE OLIVE is not for free! As you come to restaurant they will offer you this and won't tell price so tourists think it's for free. It's 3 bread rolls with 3 little bowls of olives and creamy cheese (3rd bowl should contain olive oli but we didn't even have it). A cheese which they keep in plastic box on outside table in the heat. I ordered pasta and were not offered any salt pepper or cheese, as other people had on their tables. My 4 year old child got metal(!!) straw for his drink which was actually dangerous. Overall extremely unpleasant people working there, with average food and bread rolls...

Absolute disaster. Do avoid this restaurant if you don't feel like paying €13 for boiled pasta with pesto sauce and don't want to be ignored and neglected by staff for your whole visit.

Got there early. Asked staff member where we could sit as we had no table reservation. They had free seating... we sat down and they were well aware we were new guests. But no menus were handed out. After 10 minutes we brought our own menus. But there was no one from the staff who came so we could order. Had to walk to one of them and ask them if we could order. Food and drinks came quickly. All good. But after that it spiraled downwards again. We wanted to pay but again there was no staff that cared about our table. Finally went to talk to a girl and asked for the bill. After that another 15 min wait. Again asked another staff member to pay and we had to wait yet another 5 minutes to pay.

The service is so poor they don't even deserve to get payed for the food they serve. From now on I will advise everyone I know to avoid...

Seit Jahrzehnten kommen wir regelmäßig auf die Insel und sind nun das erste Mal in das Restaurant an der Playa de Palma, die wir - gastronomisch! - sonst eher meiden, gegangen! Mit 4,1 Sternen ist das Restaurant durchschnittlich bis gut bewertet, zentral gelegen und optisch recht schön!

Service: obwohl ausnahmslos alle Kellner:innen nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend waren, ließ die Organisation doch extrem zu wünschen übrig! Etwa ein halbes Dutzend Servicemitarbeiter kümmern sich um vielleicht 30-35 Tische, wovon ca 2/3 besetzt waren und trotzdem hat man es nicht hinbekommen, das Essen (und Trinken) dahin zu bringen, wo es hin sollte! Wir wurden von 2-3 unterschiedlichen Kellnern und Kellnerinnen bedient, allesamt schienen recht unorganisiert, zuerst wurden uns falsche Getränke gebracht, dem Nachbartisch falsches Essen, man hatte irgendwann den Eindruck, es würde einfach mal so rumgefragt werden, wem denn das Essen gehöre!

Essen: Zur Vorspeise bestellten wir eine Tomatensuppe, die wir uns teilen wollten. Diese kam nach wenigen Minuten, die Portion war gut, geschmacklich nichts Besonderes, aber lecker! Problematisch an der Sache war, dass unsere Hauptspeise und ich übertreibe hier nicht, etwa zwei bis drei Minuten nach der Vorspeise kam, wo wir diese noch kaum angerührt hatten, die Kellnerin bot an, das Essen etwas später zu bringen, wir konnten uns als schon einmal auf vermeintlich wieder warm gemachte Nudeln freuen! Wir hatten Spaghetti mit Parmesan und Spaghetti mit einer Art Pesto, ich glaube sie hießen je "Spaghetti Parmegiano" und irgendetwas wie "Spagetti de Giovenese" oder so ähnlich. Portion wieder okay, Geschmack dieses Mal jedoch nicht! Recht lieblos angerichtet (ein kleines Blatt Basilikum oder eine frische Tomate würde keinen Betrieb in den finanziellen Ruin stürzen) hatte der Geschmack etwas von fertiger Pesto-Mischung mit einer Knoblauchzehe dazu! Und ohne etwas unterstellen zu wollen, dass die Saucen/Pestos, die wir hatten, frisch zubereitet waren, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, geschmeckt haben sie zumindest nicht danach! Letztendlich hatten wir also einfache blanke Nudeln mit einem Hauch von Parmesan-Pesto (der dazugehörige Parmesankäse kam übrigens nicht mit der Hauptspeise, sondern separat etliche Minuten davor und stand einsam und auf das Gericht wartend auf unserem Tisch rum) und eine weitere Portion Nudeln mit Pesto, das man Zuhause genauso, wenn nicht noch besser hinbekommen hätte!

Am Ende des Tages haben wir uns also bestätigt gefühlt, dass kulinarisch die Playa de Palma wenig bis nichts Gutes zu bieten hat und man sich dann entweder für das Hotelessen oder für einen Ausflug nach Palma oder Llucmajor entscheiden sollte!

Der nette Service und das schöne Ambiente geben die einzigen beiden Sterne, 50€ (47,XX€ und 3€ Euro Trinkgeld) für eine Suppe und zwei unterdurchschnittliche Nudelgerichte sind dann allerdings doch deutlich zu happig, selbst für die...
