Tamashi — Restaurant in Palma

The short version: Tamashi served the sushi without soy sauce or wasabi, the quality this implies is not what was served.

I enjoy the local sushi shop as much as the other, drowning my maki shamelessly in soy with pieces of imitation wasabi floating around so I'm not all together spoiled when it comes to sushi. However going to a place that by price and flare sets certain expectations, then also serves the sushi without said condiments, quality better be good. For Tamashi it both was and wasn't. Maybe I was unlucky, but then I was unlucky with many things at once: the temperature of the fish, the quality of the rice, the assembly, and more.

The quality of the fish in terms of texture, fat, cut, and freshness was nice though and deserves a mention.

In this part of Mallorca there might not be that many options when it comes to sushi, but all I want to advice is to lower your expectations a tiny bit if you decide to go...

Absolutely WOW – 5 Stars Are Not Enough!

From the moment we walked in, everything was simply perfect. The ambience was warm, stylish, and authentic – you feel instantly welcomed and relaxed.

The service was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. You can tell the staff truly care about their guests.

And the food – just wow. Every single dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The sushi was on another level – delicate, perfectly rolled, and the fish incredibly fresh. Even the dessert (we had fried ice cream!) was a dream – crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside.

Such a cozy and atmospheric restaurant with friendly and professional staff. Everything was delicious and well presented. Tuna-mango Tartar was so good and fresh, please try it.
