My sister got a French Fries with eggs and Iberian Ham, and Spanish omellete. The staff couldn't speak much english so it was kind of hard to communicate. But the food wasn't bad at all. Good times at the Vermuteria La Dolores! We have just returned from a lovely evening at the Vermuteria La Dolores in Ciutat Jardi. Once again, we had an enjoyable time. The drinks are well-made, and the food is freshly prepared to the point and very tasty. The service is quick and attentive, and Conchi truly stands out with her lively, welcoming and at the same time respectful attitude and genuine dedication to putting customers’ wishes first. Dicen que "si vas a Calatayud, pregunta por la Dolores", pues si vas a Ciudad Jardín, también. Y si tienes la suerte de que te atienda Javier, día completo. Había recibido recomendaciones del sitio y tenía ganas de ir a comer un variado, pero acabé llevándome a comer allí a toda la familia. Mesa de cuatro, dos adultos, dos niños. Pedimos picada para compartir, croquetas variadas buenísimas, para mí la mejor la de butifarrón (deliciosa), patatas bravas (kid friendly, porque llevan la salsa picante abajo y un poquito de allioli por encima, por lo que los niños pueden coger de arriba sin peligro) y tiras de pollo con salsa de miel y mostaza súpersuave y el pollo súperjugoso. De segundo íbamos sobre aviso de que el cachopo era enorme, con lo que pedimos para los niños un cachopo y para nosotros un steak tartar. Tal vez le podrían haber puesto un poco más de sal a todo, pero eso tiene fácil solución. En cuanto a tamaño, el cachopo efectivamente inmenso (mis niños de 11 y 13 años no pudieron terminarlo, así que tuvimos que ayudarles) el steak tartar adecuado. En cuanto al sabor, me gustó más el tartar que el cachopo, aunque podría haber tenido un poco más de picante, pero con la mostaza y el pan de cristal estaba riquísimo. Por último, cuatro postres, porque eso no se perdona: dos coulants para los niños, dos torrijas para los padres. NO OS PERDÁIS LAS TORRIJAS. Suaves, tiernas, con un poquito de crema y un poco de caramelo por encima al estilo de la crema catalana, tostadito y crujiente. Un pecado en plena Semana Santa. Todo esto, más aguas, cocacolas y una cerveza y no llegamos a los 100€. Y salimos de allí rellenitos! Y a todo esto añádele el local, que aunque un poco ruidoso, es de lo más chulo.
