The location is really great – central and inviting. Unfortunately, that was the only highlight of our visit. Despite having enough staff on site, the service seemed overwhelmed and disorganized.
We decided to try something other than the usual paella – which, in hindsight, might not have been the smartest move – and ordered a cheeseburger and a tuna salad.
The burger was a total flop: the meat was barely edible and didn’t taste like meat at all – see attached photo. When we complained, the chef came out and started arguing with us instead of handling the situation professionally. We ended up returning the burger and didn’t order anything else.
The salad was just as disappointing – completely tasteless, no dressing, no seasoning, just a limp pile of greens. Again, the photos speak for themselves.
The final straw: the burger was still on the bill, even though we didn’t eat it. The chef’s explanation? He didn’t like how we complained. Honestly, that was a baffling and very unprofessional response.
Overall, a complete letdown. If I could, I’d give zero stars for the way the situation was...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE! We went there with my 2 young children and their 7-year old Spanish friend. We asked the waiter for a table for 5 (in my admittedly poor Spanish). While he was putting 2 tables together, he gently pushed aside the 7-year old whilst clearly, but quietly, saying in Spanish, 'move, you c*nt'.!!! The little boy was shocked and told us the waiter called him a bad word. We tried to get the waiter back as soon as we understood, but he disappeared, so we complained to his 2 colleagues. One of them said nothing, and other just shrugged. I said - 'so no apology, nothing??' and he grudgingly said 'for my part sorry, but i didn't say it'. Absolute disgrace. If they call kids by trashy names reserved for female genitalia, imagine what they do in the...
Read moreBar Cala Canta was really good. I had the mix Paella (seafood and meat) and my wife had the grilled dorata (Orata). Both were really amazing. The taste of the Paella was really extraordinary. The serving size of the Paella is for two or three. Also we had an extraordinary local red wine that I highly recommend (Crianza). If you make it for sunset, you will really have an amazing experience. The staff was really amazing. They accept credit cards ( but they do not accept American Express) The total check was €86 for the two of us. I thought that price was very fair for the quality of food, wine, service and view. I would recommend this restaurant if you are...
