Amazo is a standout dining destination in Port de Pollença, delivering a refined yet approachable culinary experience in a stylish setting. With a prime location near the waterfront and a relaxed, modern atmosphere, it strikes an ideal balance between casual comfort and quality dining.
From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The open-concept kitchen is a unique and impressive feature, allowing guests to watch the sous chef at work—methodical, focused, and clearly passionate about each plate that leaves the pass. It adds a sense of transparency and craftsmanship to the experience that is both rare and appreciated.
The menu is diverse and well-executed, offering something for every palate. The ribeye steak was flavorful, cooked with care, though slightly on the chewy side. The leg of lamb had a good flavor profile but leaned a bit dry. Surprisingly, the kids’ chicken nuggets and fries were exceptionally well-prepared—crispy, fresh, and clearly made with quality ingredients rather than the usual processed fare.
The tacos—two different styles—were among the highlights of the meal: vibrant, bold, and layered with flavor. The kitchen’s creativity and attention to detail were also evident in the plating and dishware, with a variety of carefully chosen serving pieces that elevated the presentation.
The meal ended on a high note with the French toast and ice cream dessert, which was nothing short of excellent—crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfectly paired with cold, creamy ice cream. A memorable and satisfying finish.
Service was attentive and professional throughout the meal, and pricing was reasonable given the quality and variety of food offered.
In summary, Amazo is a thoughtfully run restaurant that blends creativity, skill, and atmosphere into an enjoyable dining experience. It’s well-suited for families, couples, or anyone looking for a memorable meal in Port de Pollença. We would...

We asked for a dry and mineral wine. The wine we got smelled like whiskey. It riped in wood and was not at all mineral. We still enjoyed it but pointed out that the service should mention that.
At first I had the wok vegetables with teriyaki sauce. Sadly it was overpowered with the sauce. I didn't taste much of the vegetables and it was again very sweet.
Second we got another starter, wraps with chicken? and pineapple that reminded me of Pizza Hawaii (which is a thing in Germany). It was a bit spicy. I was afraid it would be too much for a nice fine tasting Carpaccio...
The main course was a Carpaccio, which I very much looked forward to. Sadly I didn't taste the meat at all. The sauce was again very overpowering like ketchup. Everything was covered with cheese and on top were roasted onions. My suggestion would be to have drops of the sauce on the side and bigger slices of cheese instead of small ones.
The dessert should have been a crème brulé with coconut but it was more like a pudding. On top of it was chocolate ice-cream. It...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place.
However, I simply can't recommend it, at all, based on our dining experience.
We cancelled a (far superior) restaurant and came here due to a last minute change of plans.
Nevertheless I was excited given the way the menu read.
My starter of pork tacos were pretty tasty filling-wise, but when you serve wheat flour tacos instead of corn tortillas in what is supposedly a higher end restaurant, that gets my alarm bells ringing.
Still, no harm, no foul; they were tasty if unspectacular.
The problem came with the main 'clandestine' Japanese beef, whatever that means.
I asked about it given what I assumed was just a poor translation and was told it was a sirloin, so I asked for it rare.
Not sure on what planet what I was served could be described as a sirloin steak, but it was horrendous.
This was the most expensive main on the menu.
I have had A5 wagyu for less than this piece of meat cost me, and been more than satisfied. In fact I can't think of a worse steak I've ever been served.
My girlfriend, who is vegetarian, ordered one of the two veggie dishes on the entire menu.
This turned out to be a bland, oily stir fry of carrot ribbons, courgette and cabbage.
Zero taste, just an oily travesty.
I feel sorry for the serving staff, who were attentive and friendly throughout.
However, due to the food, I'd avoid this place. Go a few doors up to 2Kannalas street...
