Like a much better TGIs!

Sometimes you just need a big plate of comfort food... The local food in Spain, in Majorca, in Port de Pollensa is amazing, there is no denying that! But sometimes it's ok to not have local food 😂 Especially if you are in Majorca for longer than a few days. It's nice to eat some more global cuisine!

We went in mid April on the very first day that they had their new menu - the very friendly waiter explained that to us, and we didn't mind as hello, it always takes a little of time to adjust to new things.

It was midweek, and we went around 1830 and were seated in a booth for a group of 6 no problem without a reservation.

The menu is large (literally and figuratively) and there is the standard range of US and Tex Mex offerings - various fried starters, nachos, ribs, burgers, chicken sandwiches, burritos, tacos, fajitas etc.

The kids meal is also incredible value - just under €15 for a main, drink and ice cream. We had the chicken tenders and spaghetti bolognese and judging by the empty plates, it was delicious.

We also ordered chicken fajitas, burger, chicken skewer and ribs. The ribs were falling off the bone and really good meat ratio, not too much fat or too boney. The burger was amazing - smash burger - but we missed that you had to order fries separately.

I personally just think when you're spending €20 on a burger, it should come with fries. They are a natural pairing! Increase the price if you have to but include it with the burger.

The service though was fantastic, really friendly waiters who were great with the children, and as it got busier they were a little more rushed around but for us the service didn't suffer.

If you've ever been to a TGIs, it's like that but much much better!

A must go in Port de Pollensa if you want a short break from all the delicious...

Severely understaffed, service was inattentive and incompetent. Order was messed up and wrong food delivered despite a slow and clear process of pointing at the menus in both English and Spanish. The correct food was eventually delivered but the burgers were almost raw and the buns burnt black. 5 minutes after asking for the bill they gave us the wrong one. After pointing this out and waiting a further 5 minutes I had to chase them again to bring the (thankfully) correct bill. At no point were we offered the opportunity to order additional drinks l, nor was there any kind of apology for the shambolic service. Instead the staff spent their time gleefully ushering more unsuspecting customers into the restaurant rather than dealing with the ones they already had. We quite clearly weren't the only table being dealt with in this way. Maybe just a bad day, but I certainly wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody...

Right then folks your going to need to strap in and for this one, Following my 3 stars on service the men were very pleasant the tall man was certainly easy to look at On the other hand our food took years to come but also took my breath away with a sucker punch of a desert. The bbq ribs absolutely blew my socks off they were fabulous!! If it wasn’t for this waiting time I would be back here every second of every hour. The atmosphere was electric, many men were dancing and laughing and music was blasting. I even added a few groovy tunes to my awesome playlist. Speaking of awesome that was not a word I would use for the newspaper that my chips came in. What a silly idea. All in all I was extremely pleased viva la Dakotatexmwx.
