Visited this establishment last month and it was not a good experience.
On arrival we ordered 4 drinks and at the same time a little aioli and 4 small sticks of bread arrived - nice touch we thought at the time. Two of our drinks were pints and we nearly choked after the first sip as they tasted and smelled like disinfectant (just cleaned the pipes). We then ordered 8 tapas between us and at the same time I tried to attract the managers attention regarding the awful pints without success. When the food arrived I once again attempted to get a hold if the manager - he eventually came over and sniffed the pint, shook his head and walked away and never returned. In the meantime we tried the tapas which were nicely presented, however, the food was straight from the freezer, deep fried and extremely stodgy. We were hoping for a night of great authentic tapas and all we got was food from the freezer in Eroski and dips from a jar. (apart from the cheese). Attitude from the manager regarding the putrid pints was awful - never offered to taste or replace them. We asked for the bill which came to €110 for nothing but poor quality stodgy food . And the sting in the tail apart from being charged for the pints which we never drank there was a charge of €6.40 for the very small portion of aioli which we never ordered. Stay clear of this place as there are far better restaurants selling authentic homemade tapas and you will have a much...
Read moreI’ve been to Port de Pollença several times in the last years and I don’t know why I’ve never considered this restaurant so far. Yesterday evening I went there the first time and it was fantastic. There are so many reason to make this one of my favorite places to eat: the food: we had a very tasty assortment of tapas…best gambas al ajillo in town, Tuna with an orange flavored sauce (unusual but fantastic), boquerones fritos, pastas bravas, pimientos al padron, and finally sardinas ahumados. The menus is not as big (it has some burgers and rice dishes as well) but everything on it is freshly made and very delicious. I’ve tried some other tapas restaurants during my holiday but this was definitely the best. the people: all extremely friendly and although I never have been there I felt like being met as a long-time friend. Everybody was attentive and caring like you want good customer service to be the location: on the entry of the pine walk with good views to the ocean and perfect for people-watching
If you don’t know where to go, try this restaurant and you won’t be...
Read moreAs I traversed the seafront properties after a long day travelling I felt the energy of this place to be very welcoming and felt drawn to check it out. WOW my gut was on point. From the moment I was greated by a beautiful soul I loved this dining experience. I ordered the prawn and octopus paella and it was all sorts of delicious. The two ladies working the front of house are so friendly and attentive. They chat and make sure everything is up to standard. I noticed how they recommended wine parings to other patrons and great customers like old friends. HIGHLY recommend this place. If I could give more stars I would. As it was my first evening in PdP the gastro bar has been set very high. I had some almond cake for desert to keep with the traditional feel, and it was beautiful...
