A lucky breakfast find on a hot Sunday! It was our first Sunday in the area and we were up and about around 8am and surprised at the lack of breakfast places open at that time. But walking along the front we count one of the only places open was Cafeteria Ca Les Monges, and we were pleasantly surprised. For a beach front place, the menu is very good value, the coffee good, and the service fast. When we arrived, there was only one waiter, and another behind the bar creating the drinks, and the waiter was working so hard because it was pretty much full (I guess other people also found it one of the only places open early) but he was friendly and efficient. We had an American breakfast and then two made up ones - a croissant with serrano ham, cheese and tomato, and toasted baguette with fried eggs and bacon. The eggs deserve a special mention because they were deliciously crispy yet fluffy around the edges and wonderfully runny in the middle - that's the perfect fried egg to me! The coffee was good too, strong and made well. For how busy it was, everything arrived pretty quick, and just as we were leaving, two more staff came on shift which was good as there was no seating left and people waiting to sit down. So yes it definitely benefits from being one of the only early breakfast places open but it's still great food and service.

Our last day today after two weeks of a beautiful holiday in PP with lovely service throughout where we are. Sadly, not here. We sat at the table, initially the waitress sat us down, menus, two adults and two children aged 10/14. We waited, waited, waited and waited. Lots of locals were served around us, but alas we were not. The blonde haired waitress blatantly looked at us and ignored us. I asked to order, she acknowledged, but still ignored us. I asked politely again, she smiled and ignored us once again. Sadly, we had to walk away after 20 or so minutes waiting with and I thanked her for her lack of service politely and again just a smile and a wink from her. We were not alone in this case this morning. 🤬 We will be avoiding this place when we come again. Plenty of other places to eat and a lot better service!!!

Our fave cafe on our holiday. Amazing quality food and wonderfully friendly staff. The tapas board at 30Euro for 6 dishes/2 people was brilliant value (esp compared to the other restaurants on the strip) and wonderful quality. My kids' first time with Spanish food and my veggie daughter & fussy son tried new dishes and cleaned their plates. Refreshing drinks and Mallorcan puddings. Also very aware of gluten free allowances, providing a big basket of gf bread for me (and I noticed other guests). Noticed lots of locals passing time there - always a good sign.

If you are visiting Port Pollenca then look no further than Ca Les Monges. It was a great surprise coming back to find this new gem had opened right on the beachfront.

The food is sooooo delicious. There are amazing selections of pastries, breads, ice creams and a great menu of hot and cold meals. The portion sizes are extremely generous. There is also a great selection of wines and drinks on offer.

Available for breakfast, lunch and dinner or just a casual coffee or sundowner. The wifi connection is also brilliant and you can easily sit and work from there.

What really makes it though are the unbelievably friendly staff, who make you feel so welcome.

The manager Francisco goes out of his way to ensure your visit is nothing less than perfect. He literally is there from morning to night, always full of energy and full of smiles. He is definitely the heart beat of this restaurant ensuring that whatever you would like he will be sure to make it happen.

We have ended up going there every day for a meal just because nothing else compares with the prices, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

I wish them all the success that they so...
