Clear seas white sand and not too busy this time of year. 31°C for most of the days during our 10 day stay. Plenty of amenities along the beach, clean(ish) WCs and some nice cafe's. We found it best to invest in a cool bag and ice blocks then take soft drinks etc in cans rather than pay the €3,50 per can from the beach vendors (sorry to the local sellers but that's too much of a mark-up).

The sea is quite warm and there are plenty of water sports / boat trips / volleyball bits around to keep busy. Our 3 year old spent all day making sandcastles and pottering around on the shore.

Umbrella and 2 deck chairs is €15 per day, which is pretty good. I definitely recommend having somewhere for shade.

Dotted along the beach are shower facilities (large and small) for getting the sand out of your parts before walk back to hotel / apartment.

I will do seperate recommendations for shops, accommodation, restaurants and nightlife in the...

Major busy beach (early September). Nice boutiques and shops in the area of the small sandy. Now, I am spoiled because I live near a quiet sandy bay on the west coast of Scotland far from the madding crowd. But here, there are crowds, so I am not at my best. There is plenty of parking on the side streets and you should be able to find a patch of sand. Not a chance of a parasol - everyone must hit the beach early with towels. The water is very warm and swimmable but there are rocks in places so you need to tread carefully at dark patches. If you just want to lie on a towel in the sun with occasional dips and visits to the plentiful restaurants and bars along the promenade, then this place is for you. Not my bag, but as I...

Stayed with family in August/Sep 24. This is a very nice hotel that seems to be very popular. Lots guests that I spoke to, have been visiting for many years and some book and stay more than once per year! I can see why as everything is well laid out, clean and with a good level of service. For a four star, I dont think you can do better than this. This hotel is perfect for a short break as unlike resorts, it is easy to understand how everything works and it is all within a few steps. If you like going to Majorca and would like a good hotel, this is probably the one for you. Staff were all very helpful and the other guests were also some of the most polite that I have come across in a hotel. I think it is just the vibe...
