Edit after second visit: all what I’ve said still stands however my husband has had serious food poisoning since! He was the only one from our group to have garlic soup and it has made him seriously ill! He has been bed ridden since we got home with the only exception of running to the toilet! He can’t even keep water in his stomach! To say I am gutted is an understatement! He didn’t even finish the soup as he felt it was off, thank his he didn’t if this was the reaction after a 1/4 of a bowl
Ok, prepare to queue(we waited nearly an hour)! You need to go to do and write your name and number of people in your group and wait till a table becomes free. It is however worth the wait!
3 of us got the lamb, 1 the rabbit and another chicken and all commented on how yummy they were! I had the garlic shrimps to start and they were seriously good. I would eat there again just for those! perfection!
Edit: came back a week later for our last meal and I can confirm garlic shrimps are consistent - literal utter perfection! This time we all got mixed platters to share and between 7 of us we brought a lot home with us as the portions are huge!
Will 100% be back next time we are in Puerto...

There's not a lot of tourists here because it's not located in the main tourist area. I came here at the recommendation of a local, and it definitely did not disappoint. I ordered an appetizer, the grilled cheese and the sea bass entrée. The grilled cheese is not what you expect at all, it was three very large pieces of cheese that had been grilled with sauce on it and it was absolutely unique and delicious. For the entrée I got the Seabass which came with coleslaw, the coleslaw had pieces of pineapple in it which gives a very tropical island fresh taste. The Seabass was grilled and not overcooked. The entrée also came with a basket of salted baked potatoes. Chimichiro and the chilichiro sauce were amazing, I poured that stuff all over on the baked potatoes., Which already had a pretty light salt flavor to them.
After the meal, I got a shot of complementary sweet rum which was so absolutely delicious and so smooth going down, I could feel it within a couple of seconds. Followed by siesta time!
Overall opiate nice restaurant, I would definitely come here again...
Read moreI don't understand why people moan about this place. Firstly, this is not a fast food bar and simply allow an hour before you eat here. Don't come super hungry - no point. Secondly, try at least a minimum of Spanish, really minimum like hello, how are you. Don't expect them to speak your language. They can, because they did to us, but after we treated them with respect. Just do your homework. Thirdly - when you are in the queue - do not look at the eating people like you want to say hurry up! You might find it unpleasant later when it is your turn. Fourthly - see what locals order, check what is on the specials list and make a simple order. Don't make the chef's life difficult, you are not a child. Changing your dish into something new can be done when you cook it yourself. Full stop. The food was very good, the service was excellent - even when they have 50 other people to serve at the same time. The atmosphere was fantastic apart from those hungry groups of people at the door staring at us and our...
