ALE-HOP — Local services in Puerto de la Cruz

It was a good clean store and the layout was typical of an Alehop. Went in to get mask filters and charging cables. Staff were friendly and offered assistance and pointed out where we could pick up a shopping basket if we wanted to buy more things/avoid carrying things in our hands.

They have a good range of trinkety products which easily tempt you into picking up more.

A little annoyed that despite being the only people in the shop, we had to wait for the two staff members to stop chatting when we got to the till, however, I have waited longer in other shops so it was nice of them to acknowledge us fairly quickly.

I'm not sure if it's a policy or a promotion but they have bags which they are offering to all customers like all the time. The bag is reusable which is great for the environment but a little unnecessary for the size of my two purchased items. (The bag is NOT free-like all others).

The shop is everywhere. It has novelty items with cute and funky designs. For instance face mask and bottles to hold air Freshers/cleaners, puzels, sunglasses, cups,hats, cables for charging phones, key rings, little toys, back massage cushion,....and many other knick knacks...Due to covid, they gave the usual gel on your way in and mask...

This is a great shop but I have only scored it a 4 because there are so many in close proximity to one another that I got sick of coming across them. It is exactly the same stock and presentation in every shop so once you've done one, you've done them all. Well worth a visit as the innovation and ideas that you will find...
