Chef Zhan — Restaurant in Rojales

Quite disappointed by our overall service and food tonight. Service and food has always been great when we have visited on a number of occasions. Tonight service was next to none as if it was too much trouble for them to actaully serve us. Food was cold, but couldn't say to anyone that we weren't happy with the food until they came to ask if we had finished. When we did explain the waitress didnt really acknowledge what we was saying. Food was greasy and not up to a great standard. Definitely wouldn't come back after tonight. Which is a shame as we have always highly recommended to family and friends as one of our favourites places to visit...

Excellent meal in Chef Zhan today. We decided to order from the standard menu and not the Menu del Dia. Portion size was large. Hot and Sour soup was delicious and spicy. The Vietnam spring rolls were terrific. For the main course we ordered a sweet and sour chicken and a portion of salt and peppered chicken. Both cooked to perfection. We shared a portion of fried rice and still had too much to eat . However we did bring home our leftovers which were enjoyed by three hungry but very appreciative dogs. Very pleasant, good service, excellent value for money. Situated on the street adjacent to the Don Carlos and just a few doors down from the tobacos ( tobacco shop). When we visited on a Friday evening about 8.30 at the end of April , it wasn't to busy and we had next to no waiting time for a table. There were a choice of fixed menus as well as a la carte available starting at about 10 euros for 3 courses with a drink. The food was presented promptly .
