What's happened to Goyos?!? Been happily going to goyos for years. Introduced friends and family who also enjoyed the quality of the food, but... been twice in the past 4 days and first time, found 3 of the 4 meals ordered to ok but a little bland. Never had that before. Also when the bill came it was 88€ for 4 people without starters?!? Closer inspection showed they'd charged us for our food and drinks but added 4 menu del Dias by mistake. Ok, accidents happen but first time ever I left no tip. 4 days later still surprised at the experience and really wanting the old Goyos back we optimistically tried again. First observation, the sour faced waitress with blonde dyed hair. No smiles and looked like she wanted to be somewhere else, again, not the old Goyos. Starters came, had to ask for the obvious thinks that should have been there, olive oil, mayonnaise for the salads, lemon for the calamari's etc. Main courses, potatoes bland again and my sons pizza was so salty most was left. Again, no tip! We were there only a few months ago with the old waiters and the food was excellent. What's gone wrong? New owners? New cooks? Anyone know? Bring back the old Goyos and pay attention to the small...

Indeed we asked for alioli to accompany the bread but the starter soon arrived and the alioli did not.
I suspect that, given it's popularity, that many Brits will like this place for the quick service, British hours and style of food. However if you are looking for a true Spanish experience then you...
Read moreGoyos is one of the better Spanish / International places to go for eats. I often order the paella however this time found it was hit and miss, not sure if that's down to the chef who cooks it or what. The chicken in the dish was very dry. I'd question if it was cooked from frozen but definitely could have been better.
The other dishes we had were cooked nicely though. Now we have been going to this area for many years and I always find Goyos a little hit and miss for drinks. They never seem to stock Cava and when they do they don't really know which one, often offering a different one or something not on the menu, same for some other wines but definitely...
