GOLDEN TASTE RESTAURANTE — Restaurant in Rojales

Our first visit to the Golden Taste, in Benimar ll, this evening will not be our last! We had the Menu del Noches which is good value at €12.95 for two courses & a glass of wine. The blended menu of Italian, Indian & Mexican dishes is something I need to get used to, however we both chose Indian tonight. The service was excellent, both servers were extremely attentive & clearly eager to please their new customers eg my request for additional veg to be served in my jalfrezi was taken with pleasure & acted upon, plus we were even allowed to include an A la Carte dish on the MdN menu. The onion bajis & chicken pakora were really tasty & our mains of sizzling lamb & lamb jalfrezi were both delicious. Two negatives were (1) poppadoms are on the menu as a starter option rather than complimentary like in other local establishments serving Indian cuisine & (2) we weren't offered the usual complimentary digestif shot with the bill, as is customary in the Rojales area. My wife and I plus two good friends called in on Saturday lunch time and decided to try the Menu del Dia. We were offered a table for nicely in front of the Aircon Unit, which was very much appreciated given what a hot and humid day it was. We looked at the Menu which didn't include Chicken Tikka Masala but when we mentioned it we were told "no problem" so we promptly ordered four CTM's which together with our starters of Popadoms, Chicken Pakora & Onion Bhajis complete with mint, mango and onion dips were top notch. Included were our drinks which included a glass of Red wine, a glass of Rosé and a large Fanta Limon. We then finished off with Strawberry ice cream with squirt cream followed by coffees (which were optional extra). The service was courteous and extremely quick. To say we were impressed, especially for the reasonable price, is an under statement. We will return...

we came without a booking and where seated instantly, the service was very speedy and extremely friendly. My family and I only ordered indian food but i can confidently say the whole experience was the best indian food i have eaten in this area . The popadoms were made fresh and the portion sizes where perfect ( on the larger side if anything) . The prices were also reasonable. Overall i would definitely come back here...
