Having read many reviews we went here with high expectations. In a unassuming location right by the Golf course, the outside didn't give a thing away, other than following 2 other families in through the door. Though busy for an early evening we were quickly greeted and shown a table. Havi Having the curtains drawn to keep the heat out, and with fans arou around the restaurant it was a comfortable temperature and the chairs were comfortable too! A good number of servers meant a quick drinks order , presentation of poppadoms with dips and menus. Loving a hot curry I decided on the Chicken Phal, whilst my wife and daughter went with The Chicken Tikka Masala. Pilau rice, plain and garlic naans and further popadoms made up our choices. The wait for food did not seem long and the curries were served in their one little heated holders. The naan breads were a good size and 2 couple probably have shared though I just about polished off a whole one! The curries had lots of chicken in , great flavour and a good amount. Pilau rice was again a good portion but was surprised to find peas in it and a couple of large pieces of carrot. We all enjoyed our meals and those around all seemed happy too. Prices were as to be expected and, in my opinion, worth every €. My only mistake was ordering a Cobra bottle instead of a draught Estrella, costing twice as much! We were given shots with the bill, something blue for my daughter (!), baileys for the wife and whisky for me. Total bill €50 . I would highly recommend this Indian if you like your curries! Will definitely revisit next time we come to the area. The only suggestion I would have is to either have a website or put your menus on the facebook page, as photos maybe? The website currently listed on the FB page is for an Indian...
Read moreA first visit to the Punjabi Palace with friends who are regular visitors. The interior is nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. The pappadum & pickle tray was better than a lot of Indian restaurants I have been to, both here in Spain and also in the UK. Starters were shared between myself and my partner who ordered Chicken Tikka while I ordered Onion Bhajis. The Tikka was ample, good quality and well seasoned. The Bhajis were tasty but if found a little heavy in texture although my partner enjoyed both dishes. Main Course was also shared and was a Chicken Dopiaza and a Lamb Rogan Josh accompanied by Pilau Rice and a Peshwari Naan Bread. Both dishes were well received Our group of 7 went home very happy with our visit to this Indian Restaurant and myself and my partner will be calling again. A thoroughly...
Read moreAs a family we love curry, so we can be very selective about our Indian restaurants 🤔. We had a takeaway for the four of us and there were zero complaints, very tasty selection of dips for the poppadoms, the Chicken Madras was a nice heat with a good measure of spice and was perfectly matched but the vegetable rice, one comment was "this is one of the best curries I have ever had" the Biriani was also tasty but not a show stopper. Working near Brick lane in London we have been totally spoilt for samosa, the meat ones were good but the veggie not so much. The service was excellent, very friendly with a smile and extras thrown in. We...
