As part of my tour reviewing eight chip shops along the Costa Blanca for The Chippy Tour, Quesada Fish and Chips was one I had been particularly keen to visit. I’d heard plenty of positive things beforehand, and with my wife and I considering this area for our retirement, I was eager to see if it lived up to the reputation. I’m pleased to say, it most certainly did.
Parking was straightforward, with ample spaces available nearby. The restaurant itself is large and welcoming, offering a choice of covered outdoor seating as well as comfortable indoor tables. It was spotlessly clean and immaculately kept, and the staff were warm, attentive, and professionally presented.
The menu was both extensive and varied, catering for traditional chippy lovers while also offering some creative alternatives. I opted for the haddock, which arrived thick-cut and generous in size, encased in a beautifully light and crispy batter. The fish had a slightly sweet note and an aroma that spoke to its freshness.
The chips were just as I like them—plump, lightly golden, and with that perfect balance of firmness and soft, squashable texture inside. The curry sauce deserves special mention: sweet but not cloying, with a gentle complexity that added depth. The mushy peas were textbook perfection—thick enough to support a fork, with a clean, subtle flavour that complemented the meal without overpowering it. Portions across the board were excellent.
The coconut fish curry was a real standout. It featured a variety of seafood, including large, succulent prawns and hearty chunks of fish, all bathed in a mildly spiced, creamy sauce with a hint of sweetness and a gentle kick. The rice was cooked to perfection—light, fluffy, and a great partner to the dish.
It was also a pleasure to see Saveloys featured on the menu—always a welcome addition for the traditionalists among us.
All in all, Quesada Fish and Chips is a top-tier fish-and-chip shop and restaurant, and I look forward to a return visit.

Read moreBeen looking for the best fish & chips in the area and several recommended this place so I had to try it out. The place is huge but was completely full inside when I arrived 19:00 so got a place outside. Was quickly asked what drinks I wanted and I ordered a pint of beer 🍺 Then I waited a long time before it arrived and was thinking oh no one of these places where you get the food when you are finished your your drink instead of enjoying it together. Told the waiter I was ready to order my food but no she only delivered the beer, what? So she had to go tell another waiter I was ready to order. I asked the difference in the cod and haddock it she replied she didn’t eat fish so she couldn’t tell🤷🏼♂️ okay I ordered a large cod but was told it was sold out. Already at 19? Okay a medium size it is then. Had been texting the owner if they provided the known tartar sauce as this is traditionally and for me that thing that makes the meal complete flavor wise. The waiter said it would be on the table together with the food and not something I needed to order. Less than 5min later my fish & chips arrived wow so fast considering an almost full restaurant. Had no cutlery so she went to get that. Then I asked where is the tartar sauce oh sorry I’ll go get that as well. To my surprise it was those small bags you also get ketchup, mayo etc in😱 Why on earth is a restaurant that has fish & chips as a name and the most popular item on the menu not making their own??? Tartar sauce should have cause be homemade. The chips had no salt it them and the fish that was very decent in size even if it was just the medium was battered it again no flavor at all. I’m pretty sure no seasoning was used at all. The fish itself was fresh and tasteful so such a shame it overall...
Read moreHaving used this restaurant for many years now, I have always had what i would say was good food. Sometimes when busy, the service has been somewhat slow, but I understand it can be like this in a busy place. However, the takeaway service I have been using since Covid times, leaves a lot to be desired. Virtually every order I have made, by telephone and collected shortly after. Not checking the order when I get it, i trust it is correct. I don't believe that I should have to stand there and check everything in the bag before I leave. From many takeaways I have ordered, I can probably count on one hand the number of times it has been correct. Something is always missing or not what I ordered. I have spoken to them before and explained this and they just said sorry. No item replacement, price taken off next order, nothing. Today's order, was taken by a young lady and when I saw the order ticket on the takeaway bag, she had had written everything down as I asked for. The writing was clear and readable and nothing missed off. When I got back with the order, there were two items missing again. I called again to tell them, but again, nothing happened or offered. I suggested it was raised with the kitchen, as on this occassion was clearly their fault. I know this vale was only around €3, but with the amount of people that use this restaurant, if all of the takeaways were over charged by €3, that would be a nice little bonus for them. I know my business will mean nothing to them, in the bog scheme of things, but hey ho. Definition of stupidity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different relust... I won't be using them anymore. CHECK YOUR ORDER IF YOU GET A...
