Brilliant restaurant with great value for money buffet.
It has to be said, when we first began to visit this area of Spain on a regular basis (at least once - sometimes twice a year) some 15 years ago, there were many buffet restaurants around with an "all you can eat buffet" for around 5 or 6 euros. But whilst the food was fair, there was always something a bit "cheap" about them. Times have changed a little and some locals will argue that 11.85 euro is a lot these days for an all you can eat buffet but trust me, its more than fair at this place. Dont expect to come in and go straight to a line of hot tubs and Bain Marie's to help yourself because that's not what this restaurant is about. The Restaurante Chino has personal touch. On arrival we were given a complimentary glass of wine and some peanut style snacks. Our order was taken shortly after with starters requested first. Everything you order is cooked freshly and brought to the table quickly and piping hot. Once we had finished the starters, we ordered the mains. Again, cooked fresh to order and delivered quickly to the table. We have an outstanding Chinese takeaway at home which we use a couple times a month and thus is a great comparison for other restaurants we visit at home and abroad and am more than happy to say that the Restaurante Chino is equal to this. We have been here before, in 2017 to be exact and it was excellent then and is still as good this time around. To sum up, excellent freshly cooked food, served in lovely surroundings with pleasant and helpful staff. Highly...
Read moreAttend this restaurant at your OWN RISK. Upon entering the restaurant, we were met with a terrible attitude from the male waiter who refused to speak with us to seat us, starting off our meal on a sour note. After we were asked for our orders, we ordered a number of dishes as part of a eat as much as you like promotion. However, we were questioned aggressively on our choices stating we were not able to take these dishes away. We were aware of this and were confused as to why we were questioned on how much we could order when no one else in the restaurant faced such bizarre questioning.
After over a hour of waiting, we then were drip fed our dishes. The duck pancakes were vile with congealed hoisin sauce and pancakes were over cooked. The beef noodles were bland and chewy and the ribs were full of fat and a terror to chew.
The staff are unfriendly and rude and the food is atrocious. Do not eat at this restaurant if you want flavourful food, good service and a relaxing atmosphere as you will not receive any of those elements as part of your experience.
If I was able to score this hideous restaurant ZERO stars - eat here at...
Read moreAte here yesterday and wow! Food was absolutely delicious. We went for all you can eat menu where you order and they cook and bring out what you want. Was €16.95 for adults and €8.95 for kids. I ordered the chicken sate and could have gorged on that alone, was amazing! The peking duck and spring roll was also immense and both me and my partner commented on how good it was. Basically everything we tried was delicious. We even tried some sushi and my eldest (8) had some and thought it was nice. We will definitely be going back there. One of best restaurants we’ve tried so far and very reasonable! Server was very friendly and asked if we wanted more food and try different things and was in hand when we needed something. Will be returning before we go back home that’s...
