Bar Restaurante La Bodega — Restaurant in Ronda

We just had a coffee here during tea time just after driving in from another city. Great coffee, affordable prices.

What happened later that night was the most amazing thing ever. We had parked our car nearby but had "lost" it. We told the bar our issue and they were the most helpful of people. They found out that our car was towed cause it was parked illegally, negotiated over the phone how much we got to pay for the fines. We then figured we had to make our way to the towing compound and get it, but no... the guys in the bar decided they would drive us down personally!

This was the most amazing experience I had in Ronda and the whole of Spain. The warmth and hospitality of the Spanish people were simply amazing. I had wanted to pass the guy a little cash for his troubles but he immediately pushed back to say he did not need anything from us.

I'll forever remember this experience thanks to this...

Cuidado!!!! He dado puntuación 5 porque este perfíl es de Bar Restaurante la Bodega! Son excepcionales tanto todo el personal, cómo el servicio y la comida. Tapas de Ronda auténticas y super precios. Me encanta desde años el sitio y todo el ambiante, pero OJO. Cuidado!!!! Estos chavales han traspasado el establecimiento hará unos 3 meses a un tal Daniel Barrado Reyes, según aparece en el ticket de pago y se llaman ahora La Bodega Almocabar. No tienen aún para poder ponerle comentarios etc. porque si lo tuvieran les diría lo que voy a poner a continuación. Primero se valen de nombres parecidos para despistar y maquillar la nueva gerencia. Ponen ahora Bodega Almocabar y antes era Bar Restaurante La Bodega, Ponen ahora Bodega Almocabar, cuando ya en la misma plaza hay otro Restaurante maravilloso por cierto, con nombre Restaurante Almocabar. Le pondría de puntuación general una estrella. En la comida le pondría otra estrella. Tapas regulares de sabor y que nos dejamos en la mesa, y ni nos preguntaron que porque iban de vuelta?? Servicio regular y nada profesional. El señor Daniel, con una camiseta, y en chanclas organizando a camamreros etc. Cero imagen. Los camareros super despistados dejando comidas en meses que no eran, para llevar los vasos en vez de cogerlos profesional, para llevar más en la mano, con los dedos por dentro de los vasos que iban a dejar para usar en nuestra mesa, no para recogerlos. Detalles muy poco profesionales. Evidentemente NO lo recomiendo y se están aprovechando del nombre anterior excepcional para dar estos servivios a posteriori, Cutre...

First we were ignored for almost 10 Minutes, while other people who came after us already got there drinks and food. Everything there is really expensive compared to local food. They served us some white bread and crackers with our order, which you get everywhere in Spain, but they charged us for it. We wouldn’t have been eaten that if we knew it would cost us money. Anyways, a very typical tourist trap. Go somewhere...
