Don't go to bar los pinos. They hate foreigners and just don't serve them. My partner was completely ignored when he wanted to order something. They are rude no matter who of the wait staff it is.
Acquaintances of ours sat at a table and were served (they speak Spanish!). We sat down at their table......and then they no longer wanted to serve them, even though they also wanted to eat something. To top it all off, they also wanted to charge them more than 7 euros too much at checkout. Conclusion: DO NOT EAT OR DRINK AT BAR LOS PINOS.

You will feel as though you have arrived, although this beach spot is not so close to the center of the city.
