WORSE PLACE TO EAT ASIAN FOOD IN ROTA!!!
I gave Takiko one star to give them something for effort…worse place to eat Asian food in Rota. We gave Takiko a second chance today, first time in about 20 years. I think this time was even worse than the first visit. We ordered 2 spring rolls (in the menus, it says pork and vegetables), when I cut through it, I noticed there was no pork in the Spring Roll. I asked the waiter/cook/owner/delivery guy…where was the pork? I ordered these because I wanted pork and vegetables. His answer blew me away, he stated “it’s pork aroma” and shrugged his shoulders. I told him he needed to say that in his menu. My husband ordered some spicy shrimp tallarines, that were over cooked and looked like vomit. I also ordered fried rice and almond chicken; however, the chicken and almonds never arrived because his wife, who took our order never wrote it down. Very disappointed and mad at myself because I barely eat out and when we try to splurge, it never fails, disappointment is the result. We will never go back to Takiko and I will discourage anyone from ordering there. Because we were the only customers, there is no excuse for such poor service and...
Read moreI know, I know this is Spain and I shouldn’t be looking for amazing Chinese food here, but here we are and I’m fiend for that greasy, delicious, Americanized delicacy. In certain circles I’ve been dubbed as the “Sultan of Sesame Chicken”, because I simply know good Chinese.
For starters, I ordered the fried chicken wings, shrimp fried rice and curry rice to go. The fried chicken wings were VERY tiny, about the length of a Vienna sausage and about as dry as the Sahara desert. In addition they had the constistency of tough rubber. Meanwhile the curry rice was okay and the shrimp fried rice only had three shrimps. Furthermore, the sesame chicken TERRIBLE. Usually the sesame chicken sauce GRIPS and STICKS to the meat...this style was very watery and the had more breading than chicken. Imagine eating a cotton ball. Lastly everything came in very small portions, definitely not worth the 20€. So In conclusion if you are hungry for Chinese, don’t waste your money here, you will be...
Read moreI love coming here. The guys that work here are friendly, the restaurant is open all day, and everything is priced pretty well. The Takiko fried rice is the best! The egg drop soup has cucumbers in it, and it's nice a refreshing. The fried dumplings are crispy and delicious. And dont get me started on the peppered shrimp! They're slightly spicy, slightly breaded, crispy and amazing. I also enjoy most of the chicken dishes on the menu, as well as the Szechwan duck. I will admit that I tried the broccoli beef before, it could have just been an off night, but it was too salty and I did not enjoy it. Pretty much everything else I eat there is better than other chinese foods I've had in Rota, and...
