The Steakhouse — Restaurant in Rota

We have been several times and tried a variety of different meats, steak through ribs down to burger. All were good. The steak comes in different varieties such as Kobe, Argentinian, New York and others. I have never had this range of steaks anywhere else in the world which is surprising for such a small town as Rota. Some of the reports here seem to complain about the service. It is slow and very relaxed. This is not a fast food joint like MacDonalds. Some of the prices are a bit dear but still cheaper than many. As I am English the wine seems very cheap to me and it is good. The food was delicious! The service was sub par but a lot of places in Spain you need to get the servers attention to give you the check and refill drinks.

What I didn't like was the fact that my husband and I watched the server touch the raw meat to show his other customers and he NEVER washed his hands. He proceeded to touch everything after he touched the raw meat, from the menus to the credit cards. Very unsanitary! The only reason I am giving this restaurant 3 stars is because the food was excellent.

We used to come here a lot but we definitely won't be coming back. We were there for an hour before someone came to get our order. We would have left but we thought the food would be the same so we thought it would be worth it. It was not.
