Long time ago that I had such a bad experience in a restaurant. The waitress was very stressed and it seems that they opened that day without cleaning the mess of the evening before. When we asked what the dish/fish of the day was , she had to go into the kitchen to ask. From the whole list she mentioned of ´fresh´ fish, we choose a turbot to share. We also tried to order a salad, but the waitress advised us not to. The turbot would come with all kind of side dishes.
We had some stale bread and olives while we were waiting for the fish and observing how many table came and went (without ordering), probably tired of waiting.
When the fish finally came it came on a dirty RVS platter straight from the grill (the fish was stuck to the platter). The owner or manager tried to filet the fish for us, but did a lousy job.
The side dishes where a bit of vegetables (actually the only nice thing of this lunch, but not enough), and some fried onion....Needless to say we were still hungry after we finished to filet the fish ourselves.
We had to ask 3 times for the bill and when it finally came half of the items were not ours. The wine I ordered, but never got was on the bill as well as a 2 turbots...
I strongly recommend to walk past this place as there are many other places where service is friendly, quality is better and prices...
Read moreWe stumbled upon Ca’n Ribes on a whim with a group of 12 people, and they truly went above and beyond to accommodate us. Within minutes, they expertly set up a table for our large party, showcasing their incredible attention to service. The atmosphere was both charming and welcoming, making for an unforgettable dining experience.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the burrata, which was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—creamy, fresh, and paired perfectly with the accompanying ingredients. The prawns and mussel appetizers were also divine, with flavors that danced on the palate and left us craving more.
What truly set Ca’n Ribes apart, though, was the impeccable service. Natasha, our server, was exceptional. She refilled our waters and wine without us even needing to ask, and thoughtfully brought us napkins and wet wipes for the prawns, anticipating every need before we could voice it. Her clairvoyance and proactive service were unlike anything I’ve experienced in a restaurant, creating an effortless and luxurious dining experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend Ca’n Ribes to anyone looking for an extraordinary dinner in Sóller. Whether you’re with a large group or just a couple, this restaurant delivers on every front—flawless food, service, and ambiance. An...
Read moreMy wife and I got scammed at this place tonight August 24. Please read the other reviewers; we’re not the only ones saying this. We ordered the “fish of the day” that was supposed to be a set price around 30€ (they mentioned another option that was 70€ a kilo which is an insane price for Spain which we obviously refused). We received the bill and it said €100 for the fish. Obviously we thought this was a mistake, and politely asked that they put the correct amount of around 30€ fixed. They refused and said we ordered a John Dory fish at 100€ a kilo, which is absolutely false as no one in their right mind would order a 100€/kilo fish in Spain of all places (and that fish is very cheap even in the UK)—on top of that the fish was maybe 500 grams with the bones so they absolutely scammed us on all fronts. Also on the bill they add 10% tax that is never mentioned beforehand and that no other restaurant in Europe does. They also try to bill you for items you havent ordered, just like the other reviewers confirmed. Avoid this place like the plague, they are...
